Typing doubled in Chrome/Firefox while FFXIV is open

As the thread title states, whenever I try to type anything anywhere in Chrome and/or Firefox, typing is doubled while the game is open. I do not run in to this problem with any other game I play. This applies to both the DX9 and DX11 clients and has happened sporadically over the past couple of years and with multiple keyboards. Some have suggested that it may be the software related to my keyboard (Logitech G710+), but I have not installed Logitech's G-Series application since my latest re-install of Windows 7. I ran in to this problem at random in my previous installation as well, both with and without the G-Series software.

Typing is not doubled in any other program but Chrome and Firefox, and I'd assume Internet Explorer as well (but not gonna touch that with a 100-mile pole). Tested and verified in Notepad, Skype, Discord, Steam, Explorer, Mumble, other games. Again, this has happened sporadically over multiple keyboards, OS installs, etc.

As soon as the game is closed, typing returns to normal.

Steps:
1. Log in, launch FFXIV. This only happens with FFXIV.
2. Open Chrome/Firefox and begin typing anywhere in browser
3. Sometimes alt-tabbing between the game and browser will temporarily remedy the issue until I alt-tab back in to the game and back out.
4: Type in any other application without issue
5: Return to browser, issue persists
6: Close game, typing returns to normal until FFXIV is relaunched.
