One PSN ID, one Square-Enix account, two Final Fantasy XIV accounts

I\\'d like to access both of my accounts on my PS4, but when I go to purchase another copy of Heavensward it\\'s listed as unavailable.

As of now I can play ARR on both accounts on both PC and PS4 but I can only play Heavensward on one account.

im going to assume your current copy of HW is a digital download you bought off the psn store originally

if so then yeah under the same psn id it wont let you double buy the content through the store

im pretty sure your best bet would be to buy a physical disc copy of HW as iirc that will have the licence code on a bit of paper inside the box for you to enter onto your other xiv account HOWEVER im not 100% on that as i personally dont have experience of 2 xiv accounts under 1 SE account
but if you log into the mog station and it shows your current licences for both xiv accounts then i would assume the buy disc-enter code would work as it would ask which account your giving the licence to maybe.

but please dont hold me to this as 100% im going off theory of how it should work

Thanks for the helpful advice. I was thinking of buying the limited edition Heavensward PS4 from Japan. Do you think it comes with a physical copy of the game, or at least a code I could enter on the mog station to activate the service?

Sorry if you're already aware of this, but I'm pretty sure JP is classed as it's own region (both NA and EU are and I am virtually certain JP is another separate region). Your Square Enix also has a fixed region assigned to it when you created it and you can only add copies of the game that match the same region (likewise all expansions and gamecards have to have the same region too).

So if your region doesn't match you'd have to create a 2nd SE account for that copy of the game (and then probably have to pay in different currency too). There's nothing wrong with that scenario in that it'll work, but as you're probably already aware switching service accounts when they're on the same SE accounts via the Data Center menu in game is much quicker/convenient than having to logout/back in again! (I have 4 on the same SE account, but no I only actively play/pay for two of them!)

Regarding your HW problem, yes you can only buy one copy of the game digitally, but you can still buy additional versions via a physical copy (I did this for PS3). My single PSN account has had 6 physical copies of the PS3 version registered to it (two of which I upgraded to PS4 under the free upgrade program and entered codes for both of those to add them) and haven't had any problems with this. Although the normal PS4 version requires the disc to be in to run (why?!) since you're technically running the digital version you won't have that problem, you just need the code from the box.

Awesome. I know the actually PS4 isn't region locked but I forgot about the game itself. Thanks for the reminder.

the literal HW edition console? after a search, it seems it may come with a code, or at least it might have; apparantly you had to select it as a bundle option to have a game code and i cant find anything to say if you can still do that or if it was on offical order only.

so, i wouldnt bank on it having a code if you got it, the only code it confirms to come with is for an exclusive theme.

but again, while the code idea should work i would highly advise you somehow double check you have the option to add a licence code for HW to the account that currently doesnt have it on the mog station before you spend money on another copy; i wish i could check but as i said i dont have dual xiv accounts so im all guess work.
