    Iron jaws & potency

How does iron jaws actually work?
Is it that it simply resetc the timers of wb and vb to maximum as in the descriptiom. Or does it simply reapply both debuffs?

So if for example I toss out a fully buffed vb and wb on a boss and use iron jaws to keep it up for the duration of an encounter would it retain its increased potency? Or would it be overwritten by a weaker version when I used iron jaws?

It's a reapplication, and it re-snapshots your current buffs upon use.

Any time you Iron Jaws, just think of it as you, at the moment, using VB + WB in one attack, same as any other attack.

Thought it was but just thought I'd check after discussing with couple of friends. Cheers

Woulda been nice though. Sort of a reward for keeping your dots up all the time. Right now it only really saves TP and a bit of time. (which does equal dps.. but I'm not sure its that big of a number)

IJ actually offers a pretty hefty DPS increase because you can get two sets of buffed dots whenever you use CDs and you don't have to clip horrendously early as you would for that if IJ didn't exist.

And correct me if I'm wrong but using one 100 potency was it? Instead of 2 under 100 potency initial hits to reapply dots is in itself a dps increase already

People need to remember that a healer's job isn't to heal HP
but rather to prevent HP from reaching 0

Yeah that's what they meant by timesave. It's really simple to work out. If you didn't have IJ you'd have to apply venomous bite(100) and windbite(60) every 18 seconds, you replace the windbite with a straight shot (assuming worst case) it's 80 extra potency every 18 seconds so around ~250 per minute on top of the WM bonus. There's also the fact that you don't have to clip straight shot as early if it's going to fall off before you reapply dots (before you'd want it at 6+ seconds before redotting)
