Botting is getting worse.

I don't use bots but everyone pay for the game. So everyone can do what they want. We need to learn how to take care of our lives and don't interfere to the other ones lives.

And everyone pays for the game and deserves to have a even playing field when it involves resources in the game like positions in raids, gearing up and housing. These bots are letting people illegal obtain houses over legitimate players and it really screws the economy. If people who bot own multiple large houses that alone is 300-500 million gil on my server alone obtained through cheating.

That's what called "Guard" in a MMO I was on. They are online in game with minimal power to teleport people and suspended account and travel everywhere and/or check with messages from players.
They are not even paid for that job.

Why is it people who try to voice their opinion for not combating bots always use sarcasm? I honestly cannot find any worthy reasons why you would want to defend cheaters.

Er...no they cant cause they are forced to abide by the TOS and the TOS strictly forbids the use of third party programs such as bots.

To be fair, without them the economy would likely crash for a good bit as no one in their right mind would sit and grind thousands of shards/crystals/clusters when that time can be invested elsewhere but i digress

Its not that hard to grind out 1000 shards, it takes a retainer 16 ventures, thats all. Getting crystals is even easier, with an ephemeral node can give you up to 200-300. I have got, without huge effort, 9k fire and earth crystals. The same nodes can also give clusters at a slightly slower rate.
So we dont need bots to get our shards/crystals/clusters.

No. People would play the game the way it was meant to be played and we would not have materia costing 5 million gil from inflation. Prices would actually be more reasonable because less gil would be on the server and prices go down then.

I never understood the logic behind botting. Pay extra so play even less of a game you're paying monthly for!
