Psyched to do Roulettes with friends

A seriously long overdue and underdiscussed point from the live letter -

It will be possible to being gathering when the duty party participation window appears.
Sword and shield rewards will be obtained at the same time.
It will be possible to queue for Duty Roulette as a party for the following roulettes:
Duty Roulette: Expert
Duty Roulette: Level 60 Dungeons
Duty Roulette: Level 50 Dungeons
Duty Roulette: Leveling
Duty Roulette: Trials
Duty Roulette: Main Scenario
Duty Roulette: Guildhest

I don't have any jobs to level anymore, but now if my friends need help, I'll be able to grab them and say "Yea, let's hit leveling/trial/guildhests together!" A big thing's gonna be that my girlfriend and I don't have to try and fishhook for Trail que's anymore, and can instead just be in a party together for it.

I know there's a huge proponent that is anti this, And I'm sure I'll get some negative bile about how this is an MMO and I "shouldnt' be afraid to play this with others", but I'm just gonna take a moment to say - this is an MMO, I should have the option to play with the people closest to me while playing with others.

I think we'll see a lot more tanks/healers doing low level ques with their friends now and this will help a lot of people out.

I too am happy with this update. Anytime people ask why its ok for some to simply not try in DF they are always told, "It's DF if you want good people thats what PF is for." Thanks to this change I will rarely if ever have to step foot in Duty finder again.

It's fine because they made the mentor roulette for helping others. I think they said everything except raids falls into that roulette. So we can do the other roulettes with friends now. Will be fun to do trials together.

this is looooong overdue after over a year of requests. the only reason SE delayed this is to help "new adventures" , since if 4 people queue as friends then the new adventurer will sit in the queue and thats not what SE wants.
finally they make the decision and we can do these roulets with whom ever we want. to bad i only got 3 jobs to get to 60, i have done most of the lvling already. but like others said, if u want to help ur friends or fc/ls m8s now u can.

+1 from me too, especially on the levelling roulette.
I quite often help my nephew level up his classes, and will be queuing with him when this is available.

I understand that this has not been implemented before, as they didn't want people queuing together, to help new people, but in my case this just ended in me not bothering to do it at all.
When we queue together we will be helping two randoms, which may not be as good as helping three randoms, but it's better than zero

Though I think it defeats the purpose of roulettes, I am very much looking forward to it.

If it really takes off, we won't be seeing those Prae/CM cutscene complaint threads, they will instead be "I can't get into CM/Prae" threads.

Of course, good luck getting a party who wants to run those.

Well for the 8 man instances, I think SE might be banking on groups not actually going in with the full eight, thus leaving spots open for people that need it.
