I like u. c: And yeah, it wasn't intended as a point of criticism, just an observation. That last comment is definitely true, I just think it'd be interesting to examine with the additional wrench of circling the drain.
I don't have anything really to respond to any of this. It clears up the misconceptions I had and is all really sound reasoning.
My ONLY comment is that the comparison of AoE(t) v ST(t) is a bit peculiar, because you'd need an additional factor for Dragoon's ST(t) to add in the addition of Geirskogul - a 200 potency line AoE which is off-gcd and built into our base ST rotation. Using a general rotation, you end up getting ~4 per minute of combat (you can pull off 3 in a 30s kill, if you time it right, at the cost of your Blood buff) in an AoE situation, where you skip Phlebotomize.
Not really a point of contention, just one reason that I find it to be a bit more complicated to view it your way, sorta. It definitely does make sense, though.

I'll be over here, playing Death Blossom Rhapsody like the pleb Ninja I am.
kthx!
Player
I thought about working using Geirskogul twice in the same BotD into my AoE rotation, but I'm not sure half of the time if it's better to simply not do that.
Worst yet I get the sneaking suspension that my ACT isn't working properly, as for some reason as SMN I do more DPS when casting ruin1 and ruin2 together or spamming just ruin 2, than spamming ruin 1. >.>
So until I find out what's going on with THAT I can't tell for sure. :C
I'm surprised nobody has mentioned weaving your OGCD skills like the jumps and leg sweep in between AOE moves to tack on some extra free damage. These can and should be thrown in on either priority targets, or whichever target has the highest health at a given point of time, particularly when your BotD buff is up.
