quick favor question

Does your gear effect whether or not a rare item pops up in a concealed node? I just started this and have done 10 favors on both miner and botanist. I see the rares popping up on my miner but none of my botanist. The miner has the full vendor blues while I just finished leveling my botanist. She's got the full HQ starter level 60 set.

Is it gear level or does RNG just hate me?

Absolutely not. They appear very often. Most of the time for me it can be as little as one, but usually not more than 5. I collect around 3-6 per favor normally.

A few tips:

1) Make sure you knock down 4 of the 6 nodes to 1 hit left, so you get a few extra seconds.

2) You do not have to finish the concealed node, by collecting the clusters. Another will replace it if you leave it as is. This saves allot of time.

3) Placing waymarks on the areas that spawn the nodes are helpful in relocating them. ( /waymark)

4) As long as you Spawn the node (Make it show up after finishing a normal node) it will not go away once your favor goes out, so keep wrecking nodes until the last second.

I've been doing all but #3. I do place a little flag on the map to notify me of the one that's farther away but waymarks might be easier. It must just be terrible RNG luck. =/ I'm trying for the dragon wart's. I have a ton of the other ones. XD

Oh as Dragon's Wart is the Super rare item, that is all mega RNG. I'll get one for every set of favors if im lucky. They show up along with the normal concealed item ;-;

Ah, I see. So I suppose I had mega good luck on my miner then. XD I got like 4 of them with my first 5 favors. That's why I thought something was wrong with my botanist.

the earning from Favor depends on area and which Favor you do.
some rare areas like Dravanian Forelands i alway just get 1-3 per Favor.
and there are some good areas like Coerthas Western Highlands where i always get 3-6 per Favor.

PS: yes of course the HQ exchange items are much more rare
