It's like we don't have 3rd party programs to listen to music...
♥ Baby, tell me, what's your motive? ♥
Eorzea lacks wifi infrastructure. That's why.
1. Put a jukebox somewhere on a map
2. choose your music
3. hear another music after a while, because someone else choosed his music
let bards be orchestrion mobile <please>
Thats the same as asking why we can't put the Unending Journey in our duty log and read it whereever we want. Or having a portable retainer bell/crystal bell/toychest.
The intention is to increase the use of housing and the innroom as a personal hub where you can sit back and enjoy things youve unlocked. Wether that be admiring furniture youve acquired or playing mini games. And hanging out with people that do the same.
I'm bothered more by it being apparently proximity based inside the house.
If this is the case then... why... just, why? Just let it play as the BGM of the house instead of that housing ward music, when inside. Isn't that the thing people wanted out of it?
There's always got to be catch with everything we ask for them to implement. You'd think getting the music would be a matter of completing the content once? Nope, crafting with a drop that isn't 100%. Well fine, you'd think it would play like normal housing music? Nope, proximity based.![]()
The proximity based part is the one that really bums me out ._.
That might be fine for a personal room, but having one in an actual house means at least in half the house you won't her the music you picked very well.
Especially if I do not like the look of it, I'll put it in some dark little cranny, but then I'll have to sit in front of it to hear the song for real and not just a faint melody from afar? x.X
NOT HAPPY![]()
Exactly, it's always something...There's always got to be catch with everything we ask for them to implement. You'd think getting the music would be a matter of completing the content once? Nope, crafting with a drop that isn't 100%. Well fine, you'd think it would play like normal housing music? Nope, proximity based.
"oh, we received a lot of requests for a jukebox, so in the interest of making it like a real one, we had it feature real sound by being proximity based!"
Always with the style over substance with SE, even if it's a detriment to function or game systems, or in this case, making such a simple and cool idea turn into something mediocre (potentially) to the reason people wanted it to begin with! I don't like or want to be negative all the time, but c'mon SE!
