Except that Elysium and Lucrezia didn't clear A4S in i180s and i190s, 5 weeks into it. Like I mentioned, it matters mostly to the world firsts. The way people have insinuated, PLD was useless/broken, way harder to clear A4S, EVEN after sitting mostly at i210s. It won't matter THAT much if you aren't pushing for world firsts as you aren't hindered by ilvls. Period.

People did greatly exaggerate PLD's weaknesses post-world race. Gear, without a doubt, solves everything. PLD's initial problem was that it simply lacked the DPS to conquer A4S' initial checks, though - honestly - with the cheese strat I question whether PLD was below the threshold enough to not make it with an optimized comp. That aside, PLD's DPS grew with gear, and if there was a wall it climbed it eventually. The problem, and the one that's hopefully being solved, is that while PLD grew in power through gear so did DRK. So DRK could not only meet the check, but exceed it, and possibly make up for some under-performance from other members. It's a very weird balance that's off kilter, but it was entirely possible to clear stuff with PLD as long as it had the gear - kinda like WAR in 2.0, where with enough gear you could power through tanking stuff.

Oh it wasnt that hard to clear with a pld. It was harder to clear it without a warrior.
