So it's a very vague answer, and actually less than what we've been theorizing for years (360 degree vision).
    While it might not literally be 360-degree physical vision, it seems that they have (let's call it) "advanced spatial awareness"; a keen, heightened sense of their surroundings that allows them to recognize (literally) three-dimensional space in a way we cannot. This would aid in things like airship piloting and weapons accuracy. Trying to explain what sound is like to a being who can only sense vibration, not hear what the brain turns it into would be impossible. Trying to understand what the Garleans experience as perception of what the third eye is sensitive to might be very, very difficult.

    It looks like this translation may have slipped through the cracks; I saw a separate comment saying that that hard mode would be "MSQ" mode.

    That really makes me suspect the Garleans are genetically modified in the past. That, combined with their inability to channel Aether, sound like very specific traits.

    Yeah, I'm starting to support that theory more as well. Definitely curious to see where it leads (if anywhere).

    The info about the twelve not being worshipped outside Eorzea is quite interesting, with this 'Azim' god.

    I've assumed this all along.

    At one point I put their lack of aether manipulation down to it being stripped from them by whoever was genetically messing with them, for reasons (to be good little servants, citizens etc)... No points for guessing who the finger is pointing at for that, if they were toyed with.

    Their settlements are located in the steppes near Doma. These grassy plains are named after Azim, the tribe's goddess of the sun. The Twelve are only present in Eorzea. Azim worship is not directly related to the Twelve; however, they might have been related a long time ago.
    Azeyma = Azim?

    It's interesting that there might be a 3 tribe of Au Ra, perhaps they're even more bestial in nature?

    The NIN quests mention that the Twelve aren't worshiped in Doma. The quests seem to suggest that they follow a more elemental spirituality upon which the Mudra are based.

    I still think the twelve are real. However it would make sense that if Eorzea is the Aetheric Hub of the world then lands far from the epicentre of all that energy might not be as intimate with key players in Hydaelyn's Aetheric legacy.

    Q: I’ve heard that the tempered of Leviathan are called “Drowned.” Are there any other names given to those tempered by other primals?

    A: Yes. In Japanese they are all called “tempered,” but in English there are differences. There is a reason for this. Internally we had used the word “believer,” but this is lacking in impact, so we used the coined term “tempered.”

    However, when it comes to the English, “tempered” is a word related to fire, so having something like that relate to Leviathan felt off. The English names used for other primals are all different.

    Ok but... WHAT ARE THE NAMES USED?
