New jobs through crafting and gathering thoughts

Hey just having a little fun. What if to encourage crafting and gathering they made jobs only unlocked after leveling 3 up to 50 in later expansions like they made the new jobs available at 30 this run? For example all deciples of land unlocks GEOMANCER, Alchemist goldsmith (glass bottles and gems like Arctic wind) and leatherworker (medicine pouch) make SALVE MAKER, add another crafter like novelist that makes manuals or lore scripts and transfer smn/sch bookmaking to them so weaver (threads) armorer (mammet) novelist (magic script put in mammet like golems) make PUPPET MASTER, and lastly blacksmith (animal traps) culinarian (bait) and carpenter (knowledge of the woods?) Make BEAST MASTER. hilarious, too much work? What do you think? Sounds hard to do but that would totally motivate me to craft and gather more and reward ppl who spent a lot of time on their craters and gatherers. NOTE: I'm not saying they become these jobs but rather using all three classes unlocks new ones

i think best way crafter could awesome if for Jobs as bst and and puppet master. gold smith have ability replace part for puppet master and provide upgrades. culinarian can make enhancement food for pets exp increase item for bst.for beast master. I hijack you topic sorry. plus you have black smith could make whip for beast master and carpenter has ability make Marionettes controls. my belief if oyu want beast master you got do right have pets have level up a gain exp to get stronger.

I like the idea always thought that advance jobs that start at lvl30 needs requirements to unlock. Example you have to have maxed out WHM and BLM to get Red mage. MAYBE even having CUL maxed for Blue Mage( quina from ff9 ate foes to learn skills and it curtain cultures tribes believe that eating curtain animals they gain their power)

Jobs coming off crafts is perhaps the best way to work true consumables into the game. If you needed Lv30 Carpenter and 15 Archer to unlock Ranger, for example, there would be the assumption that the Ranger can craft their own arrows.

    IMO, we could have;

Alchemist => Chemist, Healer, uses consumable potions.
Carpenter => Ranger, DPS, uses consumable arrows.
Goldsmith => Puppet Master, DPS/Support, uses consumable mammet parts.
Culinarian => Blue Mage, Tank, uses consumable foods, sort of like how Quina ate enemies to learn Blue Magic.
Blacksmith => Samurai, DPS, uses consumable blades. (LB3 = Unlimited Blade Works, lol)

Not too sure for the rest, perhaps Dancer for Weaver? Armorer some kind of tank? Perhaps Beast Master for Leatherworking, could use animal "parts" to attract a pet as consumables...

I don't believe combat Job should rely on crafting i think that crafting should rely on as to make the relic weapons and improve item buff for the combat Jobs.

I completely disagree with this idea, crafting / gathering are its own animal and you need to have the right mentality to enjoy it. Forcing a DoW player to suffer though any part of the DoH / DoL grind is bad idea.

    A little ranting to follow:
The best way to encourage crafting is stop making the process of DoH levelling so bloody interconnected with the other DoH / DoL.
There is barely a single piece of worthwhile gear/potion/food that cannot be made without having to have 4 DoH make the components and 2 DoL to gather them.

If I am leather worker, while the hell do I need birch lumber? Adamantite rivets? Grade 2 Intelligence Disolvent? etc...
The entire crafting system the way it is designed says to anyone starting out, hey you want make item X.
Ok, you need to level 11 classes, spending ridiculous amounts of time and Gil to do so.
And, where is the pay off? Oooohhhh, I can make glamour gear because there is nothing but shyte to be made at end game for DoW.
And, with Specialist locked recipes, rejoice, you cannot even finish a craft without engaging another crafter for a required mat.

DoW is so much simpler, you level one class and your good enough.
You partially level two others (lv37 max) and your awesome.

Sounds like an excuse just to gate a job class by requiring you to level a crafter just because. Which is idiotic and would only pad the game. Then again with crap like the relic quest the Dev Team might think that a wonderful idea.

Yeah I wouldn't want to have combat locked behind any of the gathering or crafting but
    as a fun idea.
I'd be the super coolest Geomancer ever.
