I don't sure what use for "job"
I saw my Pugilist could use rogue or monk from 10lvl.
But curious. I really want play Machinist ( I love gun-weapons).
How start?
Do I make new character Archer then he learn Machinist class?

OwlBlackX:
To become a Machinist, get ANY class to 50, finish the 2.x main storyline, go to Ishgard and see the trainer in Foundation.
To get a class to 50, level your pugilist to 30 (if you really like playing the class), finish the pugilist storyline and make sure you've also leveled lancer to level 15, then go back and start the Monk storyline. You do not need to start another character to try out any class, just go to that class's guild and apply. You will have to get to 50 and Ishgard (purchase Heavensward as you get close to level 50) to become a Machinist, Dark Knight or Astrologian.
To play machinist, you must unlock the heavensward (expansion) areas through the main scenario quest line. Once you get to the city of ishgard you can then unlock the 3 new jobs that were released with HW.
Also, a job is a specialized version of a class. There is generally only 1 job per class with the exception of arcanist since you can use summner or scholar with that. You can unlock your job at level 30 by completing your class quests at your respective guild and leveling an assigned ult class to level 15. For Pugilist you will do this in the city of Ul'dah and I believe the class you need to level 15 is lancer.
Classes and their jobs share level and allow you to unlock unique job abilities that are essential for end game content.
Here is a link to a website that explains it in more detail:

Hope this helps!
You NEVER need to start a new character. Your pugilist can actually change to ANY other class. Jobs are basically advanced versions of classes that can be unlocked at level 30 for their class, and basically "layer" on top of the class (they share exp, among other things), with the exception of the three Heavensward classes, which need you to be level 50 and up to a certain point in the main storyline (when you enter Ishgard), and they start at level 30 instead of level 1.
It's more like an evolution of the base class. Machinist, Dark Knight and Astrologian were newly introduced with the expansion and are just jobs with no initial class. You'll need to reach Ishgard to unlock those which means you'll need, at minimum, one other job at 50 first to complete the main story questline.
Otherwise, classes are leveled to 30, at which point you do a quest to unlock the job aligned with that class. A Thaumaturge becomes a Black Mage. The Black Mage can use all of the Thaumaturge abilities but gains its own set of abilities as well.
There are two different types of jobs in this game, those that were available in the base game, FFXIV A Realm Reborn, and those introduced in the Heavensward expansion. Unfortunately, the one you're interested in is one of the HW expansion ones, which takes longer before you can unlock it.
ARR Jobs:
Get a base class to level 30 and its secondary to level 15 to unlock the job that extends the base class.
Gladiator (+Conjurer 15) -> Paladin
Marauder (+Gladiator 15) -> Warrior
Lancer (+Marauder 15) -> Dragoon
Pugilist (+Lancer 15) -> Monk
Rogue (+Pugilist 15) -> Ninja
Archer (+Pugilist 15) -> Bard
Thaumaturge (+Archer 15) -> Black Mage
Conjurer (+Arcanist 15) -> White Mage
Arcanist (+Thaumaturge 15) -> Summoner
Arcanist (+Conjurer 15) -> Scholar
HW Jobs:
Get to level 50 (as any ARR job, it doesn't really matter which), complete the entire ARR storyline. Buy the Heavensward expansion, and enter Ishgard, where you can unlock Machinist, Dark Knight or Astrologian. (These don't have a base class, and gain experience directly rather than using the level of their base class, so they're sort of like class and job rolled into one. They start off at level 30, though.)
