Seasonal Events: Crafting Recipes

I know that there has always been a backlash with us players wanting more variety with things pertaining to seasonal events. We always want new glamour gear, furniture, food, barding, or minions. Instead of giving us only a few items at a time with little to no variety, why not have these seasonal events give us crafting recipes? At least 5 different kinds of items to make every time there's a seasonal event. We could get vanity weapons and armor based on the event, but let us craft these things on our own! Each year people get displeased with hoping that the next event brings us something unique.

So why do we not get crafting recipes to make things instead? It would make more work for the dev team, but I'm pretty sure that us players would be more than satisfied. We have the Highland gear and barding, so why not make more recipes like that for the seasonal events?

Even though I'm new, and don't have crafters up very high yet, I would be on board with this idea. Other than the summer event and the halloween event, I've been rather disappointed with events so far. They're WAY too short in some cases and/or the rewards are lackluster. I did enjoy the anniversary event though, which actually made me tear up a little. But as long as I could buy the recipes and hold them back in storage until I could use them, I wouldn't mind this.

Most people don't have houses. Should we remove them from the event as well?

Its an MMO there will be things you don't like or don't find fun. Just cause you dont find crafting fun doesn't mean that the idea gets completely ignored.

Also please, any event that has asked for something to be crafted is like a level 10 craft. It takes like 10 minutes to do that if you really want an item.

Not to poke you one way or another. But most over priced glamours are set by the gathering and not the crafting. When I can sell thavnarian cloth for 4 mill each the glamour is going to be way overpriced. That was at the launch of 3.0 it has balanced a little.

I am not for against this idea. But if they want to embrace seasonal crafting. They need to make the mats overly abundant. Probably level 15-20 gathering max. Anyone can get gatherers to 15 in a couple hours. Then a friend or even a shout in a city means you could get it. The bell item people on Balmung had 100s listed for less then it would to cost to craft by far. Also people regularly hand out items from salvager old seasonal item.

I like this idea. The events have well-defined aesthetics about them, and so putting some 1* and 2* glamour recipes up that match those aesthetics would be a fantastic idea.

I feel like you are on the wrong server. During last year's Moonfire Faerie event, you had to turn in crafted CUL for one of the quests. It can easily be made by a lvl 15 CUL but I made a batch and was handing them out for free after I saw some of the prices ppl were asking. I wasn't the only one doing this and you wouldn't believe how salty some ppl got.

Imo the prices wouldn't be too far since most of these events are capped at level 15. So if you can't get a crafting class to level 15, which only takes about an hour, then you can wait on the MB to get flooded with those items and crash the market.

Instead of event gears, they can give us event mats, so we can craft the event gear ourself.
Like during the first seasonal events at the start of 1.0, but without the bells.

Dream Tunic (1.0 recipe for Weaverer lv 10)

1* Dream Tunic Materials (event mat from starlight 2010 event)
2* Dormouse Fur
1* Cotton Yarn

Right now the paramour barding sells for about 3 mil on my server. If they made the tradeable seasonal items low level crafts (like the fish fry was), it would mean that the price on those type of items would come down. If it's tradeable, they should make it craftable. It would be best for the community as a whole.

All the glamour outfits with outrageous costs have outrageous material costs. Thav bustier for example is 270k in parts alone unless farmed directly this price can't be mitgated.
