Does being vote-kicked actually flag your account? I'm legitimately not sure.

No, or else all the tanks that fake DC to get kicked would have been thrown to GM jail, or receive some warning.

I assume the bard wasn't kicked because you guys argued about it.
Implies that everyone else (you and 4th person) voted no.
Then you get kicked, implying 4th person voted yes.
Does not compute.

And finally the bard should have just left if his parents are kicking him off, since the penalty won't matter to him. I hate ppl that have to go but just log out, making everyone else waste vote kicks.

The bottomline was...the dismiss reason should have been: Offline

Cheating was a false claim. And while folks believe SE doesn't care. They have those "Reasons" there for a reason.
I assume being dismissed for cheating, harassment enough times will cause GMs to monitor and or warn/punish a player.

Hmm... There's likely a disconnect going on here....

Likely, the GM doesn't care about the dispute because on their end Vote Kick Offline, Harassment, Cheating, etc. ultimately don't matter unless a report ticket is submitted as well. So you can kick anyone for any reason but SE won't look at it unless you actually report the player you kicked for cheating, harassment, so on and so forth.

Now, let's change the scenario.

If your BRD had not gone offline and was kicked by Dimissal - Cheating for doing nothing wrong then this is report-able.


How do I know? I once replaced a tank (similar to your BRD) who had been undergeared and someone kicked him at the last boss for being "bad". The healer was arguing with the 2 DPS who claimed he deserved the kick because he did not do mass pulls (his gear level wasn't high enough for it). After getting into it with the 2 dps, they told the healer and myself they literally kicked him for being "too weak". To add insult to injury he was kicked at the last boss as mentioned above without warning.

As a result, the healer and I reported the two DPS (their names, the time it took place, all that fun stuff was required). The GM responded within 10 minutes, spoke to me about the encounter, and told me it was a very big no no to vote dismiss people simply for being new and not being overpowered (duh, it hurts their bottom line with subs). He informed me that if the logs reflect the situation as I said it did (which it did I only quoted their words to him), then they would be getting a suspension.

He let me know all of this because I asked "is this in violation of the rules, to kick someone when they've done no wrong and the kickers admit to that?" to which the GM responded yes. These types of people are not the quickest and usually will incriminate themselves if called on their actions.


TL;DR - It's not that SE doesn't care.... The player who was dismissed was offline so it did not impact him negatively. Had he been online and was kicked for simply being too weak or new then your tank would've been sitting in a GM Jail Cell.

When in doubt report.

By fear of being kicked is that I did not yet do dungeon for Roulette Lv60 and Expert. I already have almost all the item iLvl 180 in my Sch, but already I imagine that there will be people thinking unpleasant things by I do not be 195+. I bought the expansion 1 month ago.

Perhaps I try when get Relic iLvl170 or 200. Still using weapon iLvl150 from craft.

Yeah, the behavior of the community will make anyone cautious of joining content. I, personally, stay from content until I felt like I had the "I don't care!" attitude, in which I then join and if I get kicked, I get kicked. I've seen many Streaming videos where a player was kicked, then they group sat for 20 minutes waiting for a replacement.

We need more people like you OP. Thank you for being a good guy never stop being a good guy despite the numerous, numerous, NUMEROUS toxic players we have. You know I don't even think I would have given it a second thought myself and would have dismissed. So I guess I suck lol But you keep being the good guy

Yes he was kicked. Under the reason of: "Cheating"

Wow, that makes me sad I hope you reported him, OP! Vote Dismiss has its uses, this is not one of them.
