This game make my whole pc STUCK for infinite period.

I tried tried from clean the dust of my hardware to install all drivers from fabric of my software, i tried set default all option on nvidia gforce panel and on ff XIV graphic setings too. I tried several times to see event log and aply fix that i found on google.

is not kernel power cose i recet my pc when the pc get stucked playing this game (and that cause that critical and error), is not a blue screen of death, is a stuck of dead. No dmp files generated no event asociated to STUCK generated... This game get stucked after 3 seconds before i log my character to 5 days playing normaly... but recently i cant reach the hour.

I tried disable the write cache on my ssd disk too.

So the game locks up/freezes your computer after a few seconds to a few hours (possibly days), forcing you to reboot your computer. And it's not a BSOD/Kernel Panic, but a complete lockup or black screen.

Have you experienced similar issues w/ other software or games? Or is it specific to this game (FFXIV)?

i experienced this ONE time playing League of legends, all this happened before i installed a kingston ssd drive (before the kingston was just one stuck each like 45 days (i just repluged the normal disk (old ones) and the stucking problem ends) but now i play ff XIV (some times happened installing the game) and each few moments or days it get stucked, i can only see the last frame the monitor showed me (last image), is an image that just show me for alot of time forcing me to recet pc. Is an stucked image, well i think you understand me.

I never tested the old drive with this game.
I played archeage without errors with the kingston ssd.

i got a geforce gt 740 and now i cant even start my character on the game. but i can launch it and see the character selection pls help!


i did a clean install of game again and a clean install of nvidia drivers too (i deleted the nvdia drivers with a especial program "display driver unistaller") and still got stucks on my pc, i had a stuck before i press the start button of my pc, and then for like 3 times a stuck on the windows first loading screen, i waited like 30 minutes and then the game stuck alredy mentioned.

sounds like your computer might not be powerful enough...

I had a similar issue trying to play the game on DX 11 with a GTX 740.

Try DX9 at laptop standard graphic settings to see if you still have an issue.

Try switching back to DX9 version. That may solve the problem. Also if your PC is just shutting itself off after a few minutes of play, it may be your PSU as well.

Does the screen get stuck, but audio continues to play?

Do you have MSI Afterburner installed? I've seen it cause the same issue of locking up when running a game, and at the Windows Logo.
