Just wanted to see what the difference would be. Before transfer it was 28 mins. After it was 17. Glad I switched... Will need to level up pvp again, but it was worth it...

I've never seen average wait time that low on Aether. But sometimes I question whether average wait time is accurate at all. On the weekends on my new GC, average wait time is usually between 15 and 30 mins - but ACTUAL wait time is probably closer to 5 to 10 mins. And regarding wolves den, average wait time is ALWAYS less than 7 mins, but I've waited for over 2 hours without a pop.
It's weird.
It's Adders that have the short queues on Primal. I'd wager that many are operating on Mael is the strongest GC on primal, and thus flock to that GC, not giving thought to queue times or GC player imbalances. Dimitri, a Primal Mael, mentioned watching xivpvp.com refresh with all the games occurring while he was stuck in hour long queues. I don't have hour long queues, but I do get back to back games.

Primal Maelstrom queues are terrible because they're the most populated of the three on Primal because they win the most. It used to be the Adders back in the days of Seize, but no more.
Adders and Flames queues are noticeably better because they're less populated. If people want shorter queue times, at least for now, their only option is to switch to Flames or Adders.
I'd recommend the Adders simply because they tend to have the best queues, but they win significantly less than the other two.
No, go flames. Your queues will be shorter, relative to Mael, and you'll win more, relative to Adders.
You just don't want people switching because you're an Adder and want to protect your queue times.
@OP, if you actually want your queue times cut, Adders are your best option.

I'm reluctant to switch as I'm level 33 on Mael but considering I haven't been able to gain a level since 3.1 dropped (yes, games are THAT rare for me) its looking worthwhile swapping. I used to play several games a night & loads more at the weekend but I can't afford to queue for Frontlines for 2-3hrs before popping because it ruins the ability to do a lot of other things.
Flames, I dislike you but I might have to join you. XD
