Why would anyone want SE to devote so much time to making such a substantial event for a once-a-year holiday that is hardly celebrated appropriately any more, when their game which has taken so many resources is still a year off from being where it should be?

Anyone griping about the event being "childish" or "lacking" needs to set their freakin' priorities straight.

What's the "appropriate" way of celebrating Halloween? Are you trying to tell me that women didn't dress up as slutty _______s back in the 1800s or that men didn't dress as a sexual innuendo?

You talk about things being "toddler-like." I bring up how the game is mostly very mature and having an event that isn't should be a refreshing break, not something to whine about.

Doesn't the BGM kind of make you feel like you're in some kind of Disney movie though? The decorations around town are pretty corny but in that respect so is Halloween, so it's fitting.

Loved all the events in ffxi and will enjoy 14's as well. They'll get better over time but Halloween and Xmas are my favs.

Would love a long term useful item like my treat staff II in ffxi. Either way I enjoy FF events.. not so sure about the BGM in limsa >.> The decorations around the city look great though. Love this time of the year.

The other events were tolerable. (Though the swimsuit event music started to get to me towards the end.)

I envy you. Those are nice screenshots.

I can't take good screenshot with that decoration because some people decided to be heartless/inconsiderate assholes and go stand/sit in the box FOREVER. They're obviously not taking their own screenshots and they're not even wearing the event gear. They're just there to block people's camera. How rude

I hope they go away soon, or hope that some day during the festival I would be lucky enough to find the booth empty and nice for taking screenshot.
