I'm sick of seeing people give this complaint, but you don't see me saying they shouldn't be allowed to do so.

Then again, I don't go around checking everyone to see if the gear they are wearing is appropriate for their class/level. I'm not interested in what you, or anyone, is sick is seeing; I'm interested in letting players do what they want when it doesn't affect anyone else.
