Hide Hotbar After X Seconds Option

The game can be very pretty and I at times feel the UI can be a bit much making the screen feel cluttered, however I like being able to have different less common things assigned to hotbars for quick usage.

So, pondering how to provide a "cleaner" UI while still providing the benefit of using lots of hotbars and not completely revamping the UI, I came up with the following idea ...

Adding in the functionality to be able to check a check box per hotbar that will automatically hide that hotbar after X amount of seconds which will be determined by a slidebar (essentially working like the auto put away Weapon after X seconds feature).

The hotbar will automatically become visible again if an ability on it is used, if you mouse over its location or if on controller holding down a trigger/bumper/etc button that links to a hotbar. It will then be hidden again after the set time if not used again.

Since this would only affect the visual aspects of the UI for the one player, all computations for it would be done clientside, thus minimizing any potential performance issues.

Basically this system would allow for the player to reduce UI screen clutter by dynamically "cleaning up" hotbars while in not in use while keeping the convenience of having lots of hotbars with abilities easily available and at your fingertips.

What are people's thoughts on this? Is this a feature you would want?

Just one of those QoL things that we may or may not see within the next few years lol. SE is not the greatest when it comes to that sort of thing... even being considered "decent" is a pretty big stretch when it comes to the big picture. They are good about adding those things in when it's too late though.

Personally, fading UI isn't a big deal to me. We already have a function to remove it manually if we ever need the screen to be clear. Generally speaking, an option to keep it hidden even with actions used is not a good idea on the development side. Those are one of those "why?" sort of responses. Since outside of gimmick situations, very few would truly use it. Wasting time on the development point of view. Like any other additional optional function, it'd be nice to have but I'm indifferent on this one.

You man hide your hotbars and they still function as normal.
You can't see them, sure, but they work.

Would love this, instead I had to create a macro that toggles the hud when I draw a weapon :/

No thanks, seems too minor of a QoL to be worth development time IMO, when we already have a function to manually toggle the entire UI with a single keypress (scroll lock for keyboard and ????[maybe nothing] for consoles). I'd like for the Duty Log to be hidden from the U/I without also removing the timers and objectives and fates and dungeons. It seems like extra clutter when I record the game, but for fates I have to manually type /levelsync because that button on the UI is hidden with the Duty Log

Make a macro to put on your hotbar?
