I know in Final Fantasy XI dia and bio worked against each other. If the mob had dia effect and bio was cast dia was removed and bio was added. Does this hold true for FFIV? Can I stack dia and bio at the same time or do they cancel each other out?

OH YEAH!!!
im pretty sure they stack in this one
They do stack. I use a great macro for quick DoT spells.
/ac "Poison" <st>
/wait 5
/ac "Dia II" <t>
/wait 5
/ac "Bio II" <t>
Works very nicely on leve mobs 4-5 stars, and nm's.
Prob the best stack combo for DoT's is Bio & Dia and with the quick refresh on poision you can keep it up almost the whole fight.
Source: http://kanican.livejournal.com/53093.htmlAs mentioned in previous posts, the most potent sources of damage for Thaumaturge are its DoTs - Bio II, Dia II, and Poison II. Damage on NMs and higher level mobs in general is severely scaled down. A small number of damage sources in the game, most notably DoTs, do not scale down, however, and becomes very strong sources of damage the harder the mob you're facing. With all 3 THM debuffs on, you can expect about 200 damage a tick (3 second interval).
I use all three on CON/THM, and occasionally lower classes. I did my entire GLA36 Class Quest with 15 STR and DEX. I didn't want to reallocate points from DoM, so I used poison2/bio2/dia2 and watched the Quest mobs' HP whither in seconds.
Seems horribly broken on NMs at the moment though. Poison II seems to be the only DoT that isn't resisted.
Yeah I noticed you could stack dia and bio in FFXIV which I thought was a nice change. Very helpful spells those two are.
Hurray for summoner! My favorite job!
