Unable to purchase certain abilities from the guild

So, I've been trying to use my guild marks. I can get the first several, until I get up to Mind Over Matter II, Asceticism II, Seasoned Veteran, and Muscle Memory II. Then once I get to those, the "Buy" button is grayed out. Am I doing something wrong? Am I personally missing something? Or are these now useless due to the major overhaul that PUG took in 1.19? Is anyone else having this problem?

Those looks like high rank skills. You might have to pass some requirement first, for example, finishing a certain Guild's class quest. I can't really remember because it's long ago, but I think I had to finish rank 38 36 quest before I could buy Seasoned Veteran.

since your profile indicates that you are R35, you probably need to get R36 to finish the last class quest. The traits/skills available from the guild is split into 3 tiers and is unlocked at R20, 30, and 36 (as you finish the class quest). This applies to all classes as far as I know (don't have DoL leveled, but assume should be the same).

I actually haven't updated my profile (going to do that now) but I'm lvl 38 now. Should it still be holding me back?

I'd been leveling up with a friend of mine last night who had just reached lvl 36 Thaumaturge. He said that he was able to purchase all of his abilities from his guild with no problem. That's sort of what led me to wonder if it had anything to do with PUG's updates as of late.

I just finished the story quest for Level 36, as well as another one by another NPC in the guild. As far as I know, I'm up to speed. Not seeing any other available quests.

Make sure you complete the class quests! ;D

I checked and my skills (those tier II of stat converts) says Optimal level 40, and my Seasoned Veteran says Optimal level 50. Could it be that we need to be of the correct level in order to purchase? Because for other automatically learnt skills/spells that we obtain from leveling up, they have Optimal level marked with the same level required to learn.

Nope, in this case the level you can obtain them is lower than their optimal level.
