NEED TIPS/HELP WITH PERCEPTION

I tried to find out what I am looking for but frankly the information are...well confusing..

I am 60 on both MIN and BTN, my perception though is ...479. How the heck do you increase this ? I mean the gears I wear are lvl 55 is the only one I could find the highest I could find.

As it looks I need scripts, but I cant get scripts beacuse my perception isnt high enough I reach barely 300, instead of the 450 needed, even 400 I cant get. How the heck do you increase it ? do I miss something somewhere.

I dont have problem on all my crafters to get scripts and they are lvl 57, but on my gatherers no way I can....Does HQing all of the gears lvl 55, and some accessories, cover the gap ? ..

Well anything that can help me is more then welcomed...thank you in advance

There is the L60 Serpentskin set that will help you, or the L58 (I think) blue scrip gear - though that's pretty trash.

This is from the MB....which it looks like you didn't check I L55 is the highest you can find.

The gating on the scrip system and the barrier to entry is quite frankly stupid, in my opinion - so OP, I feel your pain. It was designed around players coming out of 2.55 after a full expansion's worth of progression, and offers nothing to help new players get enough of the stats that matter to actually start getting gear. There is almost no way to get the collectibility of an item high enough to turn in without 600GP, which is a very difficult threshold to meet.

OP, what I'll suggest you do is upgrade your jewelry from the market board, and consider upgrading your MH and OH tools as well. That will give you more GP, and may put you in range of 600 to be able to use food to get there. The level 58 gear you get from blue scrips is going to be slightly better than the level 60 MB gear by default, but the MB gear has materia slots, and can be HQ, which will also give you more stats.

I believe gathering temple leves in Ishgard may also provide an avenue for getting better jewelry, but I never looked into it, as they are cumbersome, and the MB is faster.

this is dumb ! how are we supposed to get there ? lol...I mean if to get the gears I need I need to be geared, and I acnt get geared without getting scripts that require to be geared, might as well stop MIN + BOT ...this is ridiculous....there must be a way somewhere hidden...

If you were on Famfrit, I'd offer to try to make some of it for you. I was finally able to break through the gearing threshold for 1* recipes, and can make sledgehammers, pickaxes, scythes, and hatchets pretty easily.

Grab the HQ main and offhand tools...then slowly start getting your blue gear, if you still cant find crafted sixty gear. That'll be enough to reach red scrips, then you can start the real farming.

Or you can... ask any crafter... takes 30secondes to craft. Just give them a tip, I'm sure they'd do it for free.

You have to craft, or buy off the board, the level 60 i150 left side gear. Similarly, you have to craft, or buy off the board, the Hallowed Chestnut accessories.


You should be able to, using the level 55 stuff you bought in Moghome along with some level 51-55ish jewelry, be able to gather BLUE scrips. However, the level 57 stuff is not really worthwhile as a stopping point - better to just get the level 60, i150 stuff. That stuff, melded, will let you start gathering the RED scrips.

You can, however, buy NQ tools off of vendors. Azys Lla has a vendor that sells level 60 weapons and tools. There's a certain cave you visited in the Hinterlands that has a vendor that sells the level 59 OH tools.

If you were rolling in the Gil, I'd suggest buying the i170 OH tool, and jewelry/accessories, off the Marketboard. Unfortunately, at a probable cost of over 2.5 million Gil per item, plus the cost of melding, that is probably out of the question for you. So, get the Hallowed Chestnut level accessories instead.

Without master3 or any fancy mats you should still be able to craft a set to reach 597 if everything's HQ. Stick a materia III on one of these temporary accessories to hit the magic 600.

Even with that it's still just the start of a painful grind tho.
