You started a thread about inventory and posted your valid opinion. Someone else posted a valid opinion that differs from yours and you resort to this crap of calling them a white knight? Grow up.

Just because something is a problem for you doesn't mean it is a problem for everyone; and no I am not defending the inventory space in this game I would prefer more also. To compare though I only bought ONE extra retainer and I still have space to spare and YES all my jobs/gatherers/crafts(minus BSM) are at 60 feel free to Lodestone. So, yeah it seems to me you might be hoarding a bit more than the usual player since I also collect glamours too and still have space to spare.

I'm sure it's gonna take a long while before they even bother do this: I wouldn't be surprised if eventually we'll be forced to buy some retainers for a free one or something.

I wouldn't even complain about the retainers if they were a one time purchase! And no, I am not paying for extra retainers right now. I rather spend that money on something else.

I pay 13 euros for WoW and I get everything. I pay 13 euros for SWTOR and I get everything + extra points.

I pay 13 euros in this game and I even need to pay more for basic inventory space? What's next? Housing plots?

To be fair to SE, FF14 has offered as much inventory space as WoW does if you max out all your storage with just the two retainers you get for free. Storage space wise its actually a pretty competitive game.

Seriously, please don't start with the white knight thing. Its really annoying. If you disagree with them then you can argue the point factually. Don't start resorting to label that imply that others opinions are dismissive. Instead actually state factually why you don't feel it is enough.

You could be right....if we didn't have the chance of having 23 classes into one character. I still have space in mine BUT I am running low even by focusing only on the fighting classes (I'm gonna do crafting and gathering later).
Per se, this isn't a big issue YET, but knowing SE i wouldn't be the least surprised if they wouldn't add more retainer space in the future, yet we have 30 classes to level up. At that point, it won't be any more acceptable, to a point that we have to buy retainers just to keep our gear deposited. At that point, might as well go on a f2p game and spend 10 bucks on an inventory storage: it's a one time purchase for one thing!

My point is simply one: those two games I mentioned (but you can apply this also to any mmorpg that doesn't allow multiclassing) have far more better implementation of the inventory, simply because there's just one "bank" per character and it's normal to not have them big: you don't need a lot of space on one character, so it's acceptable.

In this game, where you can have 23 jobs - meaning that you'll have approximately 276 class equipment (which means nothing else BUT gear and weapons) - the inventory space is starting to show its limit and the ONLY WAY to possibly add more space is to pay an additional fee on your sub because....I dunno, weren't we supposed to get additional space at the expansion release?

And don't get me the "release better content yet" excuse: we're still starving and the biggest stuff we got was a crappy minigame (LoV) and a crappy dungeon (diadem). If i had to salvage something out of this mess is probably Thordan...and that's also dead!

Everything the devs said made it sound like we were all getting a free retainer to help with gear storage in HW but when it hit we got "...and you can all buy one more retainer!" So it was kind of a slap in the face.

I only play one job, and I love me some glamour gears, and I had to buy a third retainer, and tons of my friends who craft have to buy extra retainers just so they can keep their mats. Really sucks that you have to pay monthly for storage space, I'd much rather pay a one-time fee, but I doubt SE will change that when they can easily put people in a position where they have to buy extra retainers, and pay monthly for them.

As a mostly-omni-crafter, glamour addict, and someone who plays multiple battle jobs at 60...I still to this day don't understand how people have inventory problems. Unless you literally hoard every last piece of gear and material you get?

I mean, I do have 1 extra retainer, but I've gone months without re-applying his contract before because I barely use him...he's mostly to sell stuff and go on ventures for me.

What i would like to expand is how many items you can put up for sale, though. I'm constantly at a full 20/20..

Yes I have 5 retainers and 4 are completely full with materials or gear. A game like this that is designed where you can be every job should have much more inventory space.

I am not one for rushing things but that should have being considered with Heavensward release. In A Realm Reborn it was less of an issue since most were starting. But another example, someone working on leveling all their tank jobs or gathering. Thats a lot of armor sets to he kept as well!

I like to change up my glamours and craft stuff for my FC friends (hence the need to save low level mats) so I need mostly everything there.

I have little motivation to do much anymore because I don't have inventory space. I've already bought 2 extra retainers and they're max.

I feel like this is one of the serious problems the game is gonna have to address without telling us to buy more retainers. If they don't, things are only gonna get worse.

I feel a wardrobe system would help but apparently it's not in the works.

Saying "stop buying retainers subs" is just not going to happen. I do NOT have that option just to prove a point to SE. I need the space. Also at this point if they don't see the issue by now then people not buying retainer subs isn't going to change anything either.
