The truth is you can't force anyone to play in a manner you think is appropriate. "This is unacceptable" is actually an unacceptable way to think about something like this. It's unacceptable because you don't have control over them. You would like to, but you don't.

I've encountered plenty of players that I perceive as "bad", we all have, and the unfortunate truth is they are here to stay. You may try and educate them, but in some instances you may come off as trying to harass these individuals. OP could've handled the conversation better, this is a fact, but in the end there is no guarantee the other side won't try to defend "their way", even if it's horrendously awful.

To me, what is unacceptable is the use of the vote kick feature. I don't think either side should have used vote kick in this fashion. If the BLM not using Enochian (and refusing to use it) had caused the party to be unable to complete the content, then yes. If the OP had been harassing the BLM to an actual extent that could be considered harassment (not asking an unfriendly question, but downright degrading verbal behavior) then it'd be OK to kick. However, neither situation had occurred, and the use of the vote kick feature was clearly uncalled for. It's pretty sad that this sort of thing happens, and that people can't get over their high-horse long enough to realize that they are ruining somebody else's experience.

People always talk about how parsers and things like that will cause a toxic community; however, this is a prime example of how the anti-elitist crowd has become just as toxic (if not more) than the elitist crowd.

I also find it incredibly sad that the community has got to a point that the majority don't even talk in party chat, and when they do you're often likely to find situations like the OP's. The fear of either being harassed, or being reported for harassment has left a lot of us keeping our comments to ourselves.

I'd like for the development team to seriously consider adding incentive for people to work together and chat in grouped content. I'd rather expert roulette be a more social experience than one filled with silence and spamming AoEs on trash mobs.

Yes, it was.

Tank interjected themselves into a conversation that had nothing to do with them to create an unnecessary argument, then abused a system to get rid of the person for rightfully questioning someone's apparent laziness.

He stops the party a second time just to keep the argument alive. He got kicked because he wouldn't let it go even after she adjusted her play style.

You mentioned that he wanted to continue the argument, when that's incorrect. What you can see happening is that the Tank continued to pick a fight with him ("come at me stupid bard"), leading to OP's comment on why is he being considered retarded for simply asking a legitimate question.

Nice how you're able to read a whole lot from that while accusing others of making assumptions when it doesn't suit your narrative.

Tank tries to pick a fight, the healer attempts to defuse the situation (I mistakenly attributed that to the BLM, who was instead hiding behind the Tank rather than answering the question), except the Tank continues the argument. OP asks the Tank why does asking a legit question warrant being insulted. BLM finally responds with what is a "low standard" mentality comment, and then the OP is kicked.

What's funny about all this, is how the Tank in the midst of his baseless white knight mode showed that he KNOWS the importance of Enochian ("[it] allows the use of blizzard 4 and fire 4 right?") yet still wanted to berate the OP for questioning why the BLM wasn't using said skill.

He wasn't being a ass, the tank was the one being the ass quite frankly. The tank is the one who actually started the whole argument and the BLM could have stated something more than a simple "yeah" that didn't even answer the OP's question which btw is a very valid question, they could have responded easily with sorry, I'm still learning.

I mean not everyone is straight out perfect but that tank took it above and beyond. If anyone deserved the vote kick it would have been him not the OP.
