I.. really have to explain the obvious to you? Sigh..
Your statement for a lot of us (even outside the forums) that you pay so you can expect everything given out to you with a silver spoon means nothing.
This game is optional. No one is forcing you to play. You play because you want to.
You pay to play, I pay to play. Simple right? That should end the conversation in itself.
Now let's say our way to play differs, which one is right?
You are going to show me numbers? lol
To make it clear since it seems it must be written: yeah the BLM should use Enochian. We are those who will try to use all of our skills, which is the point of leveling up: obtaining new skills.. Somes are meh, but nonetheless are part of your job that you chose to play at this moment.
What will you do if he won't/or simply wants to be an [...]? He still pays the same sub as you, so your point of paying to earn anything less than the best is moot.
Else: skip DF and find people who have the same point of view than you as how to play this game.
Hence my statement: Unless you are not paying, but getting PAYED to play it and to represent SE into championships, it's only a GAME.

Recently in Stone Vigil, I noticed the BLM was just spamming Fire III over and over.
I bit my lip for a bit, but eventually decided to say something like "I really recommend using Fire III just to get your stacks of Astral Fire, then using Fire I until switching back to ice. Not trying to be rude, just trying to help."
They responded with "Okay".
I noticed them fumbling around a bit with the rotation they weren't used to for a few pulls, until it looked like they got the hang of it.
Then they said "Hey, this really does do a lot more damage. Thanks!" Which I then let them know about Firestarter they'd get in a few levels, and they were excited about it. Then the WHM asked if I had any tips for them (they seemed to be together from the DF).
Point is, sometimes you reach out a helping hand, you get bit. Sometimes they take it, and move forward in their game and enjoyment. Regardless of the amount of times I get told to STFU, I'll still put that hand out for the few that will take it. Keep extending that hand of friendship and helpfulness, and try to do what you can to get the negativity and general laziness out of the DF.

Le sigh, people will someday realise that by giving advice in an insulting manner (yes calling people bots is insulting) you don't tend to get the desired result. It's called people skills but for some reason the sort of people who start threads like these completely lack them.

It's a legitimate question if your group already spent upwards of 10 minutes in the dungeon without so much as anything that resembles a human greeting. Again, people need to stop being overly sensitive over nothing.
He then followed it with 'why are you not using X?', which isn't insulting at all.
People skills should not include coddling the worst parts of the persona such as undeserved pride, and ego, and accepting being told to shut up by those you try to help.
Who really needs the people skills? The OP, or the group he tried to help, and got ragged on for it? Read that convo again and tell me who really cast the first stone.

We're not talking about optimal rotations though, because in the OP's example, we're talking about someone that's straight up not using a skill that grants bonuses just for using it.. And in this game, the skills practically get auto-placed into your skill bar anyway and the job ones have a cutscene that display you acquiring said skill.Referring back to my post on page 12 of this thread.
And honestly, I have seen my fair share of botting in dungeons, especially if they do not respond to my question (which may be striaght up "are you a bot?") or "hit no if you aren't a bot" ready checks. You'd only take offense to it if you truly get offended by it (which goes for almost anything, not this specifically) and if you actually want to make a big deal out of it; it takes two sides to start a dispute like this.

1st paragraph: I understand that.Referring back to my post on page 12 of this thread.
2nd: OP gave his reason why he was somewhat qualified to instruct someone on how to BLM when he was asked the question 'wanna tell a dps how to dps?'. You can read it in whatever tone you want, but all that is there are words over the internet, and they say nothing more than 'yes, because I have BLM at 60' therefore he likely has an idea on how to help that BLM get better.
Before that from what we see, all he did was ask 'are you a bot?' (a yes or no question, which was answered sarcastically anyway), and 'why are you not using enochian?' which another party member chose to deflect with another question that more often than not leads into a credibility attack.
Also, the qualifier for bringing up the issue is someone's intentional non-willingness to use an ability who's effect is literally 'you do more damage', not the fact he has a lvl60 BLM. I do the same with DRGs that never use heavy thrust or disembowel. He only brought up his lvl60 BLM AFTER he was asked 'wanna tell a dps how to dps'. I wouldn't bring up my DRG's level unless asked because it doesn't even take a level capped player to understand there's something wrong with that picture.

The amount of baddie apologist in these threads amazes me. I told myself that it was pointless to keep posting on these forums but this thread did it! These apologist dragged me back in. Can the SJW oriented players around here please understand that no one has a god given right not to be offended?
The offending BLM sucked.
The OP wanted to offer up constructive help.
The OP was misconstrued since tone is often lost in translation of brief communication.
The bad BLM gets butt hurt and abuses the vote kick system because their ego is so fragile that any criticism offered instantly has to turn into a cat fight.
The OP posts his experiences and shows us why the collective skill of the FFXIV player base is a joke in contrast to any other MMO.
Then, People attack the OP for being rude?
This game....

I can't even XD you guys are just too much!
Can you baddie apologist please stop supporting sub par gameplay for the sake of an argument that there may be some far removed scenario where an MMO player is unable to learn their class because of naivety? JFC is it so much to ask that people google "ffxiv blm rotation"? I guess so!
