    Suggestion for crystal drop rate

Make the drop rate increase based on both contribution and time spent in FATEs. One thing I hate is having a good party that goes through FATEs quickly, then falls apart abruptly as people finish in an area, leaving 3 or less people to down (or fail to down) an entire zone of buffed FATEs, spending a large chunk of time and going TP/MP starved in the process. And the end result: no crystal drops. I understand FATE scaling is necessary, but if it can't be tweaked any more, then at least consider the players having to deal with it.

Furthermore, special FATEs such as Tarasque, Darkscale, and Metal Gears 2 are being ignored completely because they require more effort than they're worth, and new players that would like the achievements/glamor items/barding/TT card are getting left out in the cold. I personally have never seen Vedrfolnir Devoteth or the last part of the Coeurlregina FATE chain. The same suggestion could work for these, possibly (if not too much to ask) with a 100% crystal drop upon completion of the achievement awarding FATE.

From what I can tell, the Luminous Crystal drop rate is perfect.

If you have the quest active, and a level 50 that you start FATE grinding, going in each zone (CWH, SoC, DF, CM, DH, AL) until you get *six* LC in each zone, you should be getting the last one at some point in level 59. RNG, of course, but that is what you should be looking at. And I say this based on my own experience.

Why two sets of LC? One for the job that you got the quest on, the other for the job that you took from 50 to 60 FATE grinding in HW.

I got most of the crystals in a single day last weekend for one job (14/18) and it was a lot of mindless grinding, but the drop rate is actually pretty decent. It won't take someone from 50 to 60 unless they're going for multiple sets of crystals.

I was always in Fate parties. At the apex of farming I got to see the Darkscale qeustline completed. I even got two new Fate achievements.

This is a bit less to do with the overall drop rate and more on that the time spent =/= reward gained because of how FATE scaling works. If you're in a party of 8 clearing FATEs at a good clip, sure, the drop rate seems fine. Then as that party dips to 5 then to 2 over the course of a few FATEs, you're suddenly spending hours clearing only a few FATEs for nothing.

I actually JUST abandoned a party of myself and a healer since it took an hour to clear 4 FATEs. No crystals, same gil, same seals.

The wind down from FATEs scaled to full parties, down to only scaled for one/two people, can be a bit rough. go to another zone (if possible) or put yourself in the PF looking for people to join you is all I can suggest.

Im a little dissapointed that people ignore the big fates now. They take too long. I was wondering if an increased droprate on those would incentivize people to clear them.

I actually was more successful going solo than in parties. Don't know why, but my drop rate was increased when by myself. Others were around, but not in parties or at least, I wasn't partied with them.

Its RNG simple as that, be thankfull it isn't as mad as the ATMA mess, drop rates were much much worse back then. And now you can play on any class as well right from the start, How amazing is that?!
I've done a set, took me 2 days and that wasn't even grinding it hard. just leveling my MNK up. Two zones were bad thats about it(And once again, rng!)

Stop asking for nerfs left and right. Things are good as they are
