Complete lunacy. Way to find the worst interface layout ever created.Yodhida said they are going to allow player aps or whatever they are called. Add-ons. Just think how awesome it will be if our UI looked like this.

The majority of WoW users do not have that much clutter on the screen.
My WoW interface actually has fewer elements than the default WoW UI, except in raid mode when I have a full 10/25 unit frames that takes up the same amount of space that my party frames do. I am also, a main healer and get plenty of information from the addons that I have.
Furthermore, Yoshi has clearly made it his priority to appease both keyboard/mouse users and gamepad users.
Secondly, for those of you who say the current UI is better. I am floored by that response. You may like the blue color and how it looks; sure I can agree with you on that. It does look fine aesthetically, though I do prefer the newer screenshot about 600x more. However on a functional level, the current UI tells you very very very very very little as far as battle is concerned.
The UI presented is just a justification that Yoshi wants to bring the game up to modern functional standards. Not the current archaic menu UI.
I count 8. The current party limit. So you must hate the current party setup then.I see no reason to have that many people in a party
Completely agree. I've seen some incredibly minimal WoW UI's with more information than the current XIV UI can deliver. Addons open up a lot of opportunities, ones that the dev teams sometimes can't or don't want to spend time on.
For instance, someone might have already created a "receive sound on /tell" UI addon. I am aware SE added it, but those small features sometimes add a lot to the game that don't necessarily need to be created by SE.
Also, SE has stated they are considering actually making several different UI skins/appearances to appease peoples tastes towards the classical blue, or something more modern, though they may not get around to it. That is where addon development really shines.

Yeah, add-on means it'll be customizable, so why are you showing that screenshot? It holds no relevance.Yodhida said they are going to allow player aps or whatever they are called. Add-ons. Just think how awesome it will be if our UI looked like this.

We were the first to kill Ifrit.

That WoW Interface is so cluttered You almost can't see anything. Though I guess with enough useful add-on you don't have to see anything as all the clutter will tell you everything you need like when I play WoW, I usually have tunnel vision on my Healing Grid watching little bars go up and down and I've set up sounds if i get aggro or am in an AOE so I know to move my character.Yodhida said they are going to allow player aps or whatever they are called. Add-ons. Just think how awesome it will be if our UI looked like this.

All of this is your fault. If all of this was so bad for your gaming experience why didn't you take them off? That WoW Interface is so cluttered You almost can't see anything. inb4 "gtfo wowbasher", WoW or not that is just fugly as hell on an aesthetic level.Yodhida said they are going to allow player aps or whatever they are called. Add-ons. Just think how awesome it will be if our UI looked like this.

I like the current bar, I just wish we could have 2 or all 3 up optionally at once so we can easily click skills in lieu of using macros.
I mean I know we're getting add ons but yeesh. A lot of this is going to clutter my laptop screen.
My personal comfort zone is also being violated by their party bar being on the left! Eadjfdlksa.
Oh well, I like how the game looks currently in its minimalistic-esque font and graphics. ): I'll be sad to see them go.

That guy who set up that UI did a terrible job. He has recount up in the middle of the screen, there is no reason to have both your own party frame and raid grid. Also that pic was taken during BC when people didn't have high res monitors which allow for way more on the screen with less clutter. There are a lot of good WoW UIs that just happens to be a bad one. Theres plenty examples of good user made UIs.Yodhida said they are going to allow player aps or whatever they are called. Add-ons. Just think how awesome it will be if our UI looked like this.

In any game if you clutter up your screen with too many addons its not going to make you perform better.

Let's take a look at a more realistic raiding UI shall we?Yodhida said they are going to allow player aps or whatever they are called. Add-ons. Just think how awesome it will be if our UI looked like this.

They have said that with 2.0 they will have two separate UIs. One for keyboard and one for gamepad. Both UIs will also be heavily customize-able with addons and such. I don't think you have much to worry about. That's kind of terrible. There's a lot i hate about that screenshot. For one, I hope it's a boss fight, toherwise I see no reason to have that many people in a party. What's witht he crap around the map? Multiple toolbars? I can't see what that stuff is in the lower right. Looks very non-controller friendly, sort of like what a friend had up in wow, when he was just mashing buttons left and right. I hope it doens't look like that at all. I like the simplistic look, less is more.
