anima for class under lvl 60?

So I want the Anima weapon for my DRK but he's just lvl 55. The question is: Can I start the weapon Quest with e.g. my lvl 60 Pala, collect all the crystals (ideally with my DRK to lvl him simultaneously) then drop the quest for my Pala as soon as my DRK gets to 60 and gets the Quest and KEEP the crystals?
Or I dunno they magically disappear and I have to do it for my DRK separately?

Yes. You won't lose the luminous crystals if you toss the quest so you can just get some other one that you can start, collect the crystals, then abandon the quest, get the actual one you want and turn it in.

As long as you have the Soul Without Life quest active (doesn't have to be the DRK one) you can level your DRK and collect the crystals at the same time.
