I have yet to see the plague bringer coat drop.

I have a FC mate that ran Pharos Sirius an uncountable number of times for the Zeta questline drop (long before the nerfs). Even now he's traumatised whenever you mention the place, poor lad.
I've also run the Great Gubal Library for the caster coat and I lost count how many times I ran that. I would switch between SMN/BLM and just run it a few times every other day. I felt so bad for any under lvl 60 tank I was paired with since it was before the ilvl sync so I'd be ilvl 200 with the poor leveling tank. Everything died really fast though. When I finally got it I just told myself: NEVER AGAIN.
Of course then the Plague Bringer caster coat came out so it's not even glamoured at the moment.
Edit: Oh! And also the Bard/Machinist top from the Aery. I was running that on Bard well into lvl 59 before I just gave up. Maybe when my Machinist gets up to that level, I'll spam it some more. I have the MNK/NIN top but have never once seen the BRD/MCH top.

I remember doing Ifrit HM back in the day 36 times to get the weapon which was an upgrade for me at the time, I should have just done the relic but thought it would be better to get ifrit weapon first, I was wrong.
It was actually harder to do Garuda though, back then it had about a 40-50% clear rate in DF and I lost count of the amount of wipes never mind runs where I didn't get the drop.
I am too, I just really hope it doesn't involve that specialist garbage though :/
And same here, I got a few bits left from Turn 5 to get, I'll have a full Allagan collection then.
I'm almost positive at this point they will be Specialist-locked after all of the Sky Pirate's gear was. They may not be, if they tie them to Red Scrip mats, I suppose, but that's...not necessarily a better state of things, since the Red Scrip system as a whole is still a convoluted mess.
I mainly want the healing gloves from T1 (I accidentally turned them in for Seals ><), a few of the original Allagan weapons, the healer coat from T7, the tank gauntlets from T8, and the healer pants from T9. Sadly, opportunities for glamour farming seem few and far between on my server.

I'd take red scrip relation over specialist relation, any day :PI'm almost positive at this point they will be Specialist-locked after all of the Sky Pirate's gear was. Ah, that sucks, I also traded a bunch of my BCoB loot for seals way back thinking it won't matter as the runs will be way easier to DF etc etc... yeah, now it's not a question of ease, it's whether it'll pop, or whether a PF will fill or appear![]()
Hmm the longest grind session for me would be farming atma pre-buff spent about 2 week, 4-6 hours a day in western thanalan....blahhhh
Longest time I ever spent grinding a single thing was Atma of the Fish (pre-buffed drop rate). Took me about a total of 15 to 20 hours total over a period of about 5 days to get it iirc. While farming dungeons I'm probably gonna go with doing countless Mythflox and only having seen the Baby Opo-opo drop once and losing the roll to my brother. Still don't have it :/. I also did about 25ish runs for the Demon Gloves of Casting from WoD.
