How many was the most times you ever grinded an instance for a single specific item?

Ramuh Ex about 100 times for the DRG weapon. Lost City of Amdapor what feels like 1,000 times for the Darklight set for Monk and DRG.

I ended up running Moogle Extreme 65 times before I finally got the Ribbon of Healing.
73 runs of WoD for the Bard Coat.

Just an update, I finally managed to get the cloak at 46th run (give or take one or two, since as I said I somewhat lost count at the 40s~). ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I wanted the Armor or Glove pieces to update my tank jobs from Void Ark...
Ran it 22 times before getting it...
Worse is that:
- Gloves popped at 2nd run, I was a DPS, passed by accident, saw the Tank would maybe take them anyway, everyone passed on it, I saw them drop to the floor and be destroyed...
- Armor popped at 7th run, I was a DPS, rolled a 3, someone that wasn't a tank outrolled me with an 84.
- Gloves pooped at 10th run, I was a DPS, rolled a 54, someone that wasn't a tank rolled a 58.
Since then I began tanking...
- Armor popped at 22nd run... I was a tank... needed on it with blood in my eyes.

(luckily for me the gloves dropped on merely the 2nd run of the next week, I also was tanking it)

Not sure on an exact number, since I rarely count when grinding... just know it took me about 3 seasons of House M.D. to get the last piece of gear I need for a Drg glamour I was making, that required a piece that dropped from Hullbreaker Isle.

Almost 400 runs of Garuda/Titan/Ifrit EX just to get the Nightmare pony. Mostly doing Garuda as tank mount farms.

For this game Nope.

At that other (WoW), It took me about two weeks to get spellfire blade (Jedi looking one) from The Slave Pens... I am still grinding Tempest Keep for the mount, Firelands for the Mount, Onxyia for the mount..... as well as other items. So if there was one I wanted here I would grind it till I got it, then avoid that dungeon like the plague for awhile.
