Remove gauss barrel attachment and just make it a buff please

The problem with gauss barrel is the attachment. I don't mind the skill I just think having that thing at the end of the gun is causing a few issues.

1. It's not alligned properly on some guns

2. Because of it they have made guns float more on the back

I'd like the skill more like what happens with cleric stance. The whm does an animation and you see the buff BUT nothing changes with the staff at all. I think removing gauss will let the design team make guns that don't float and have to design stuff with gauss in mind.

I mentioned before in another thread but really they just need to make a display toggle for the gauss barrel effect that is on the gun. Then people who want it off can have it off and people who like it how it is can leave it on.

There isn't really any need to remove it completely; it just needs an option in the settings to turn the effect off if so desired. Kinda like how we have the hide head gear option.

Unfortunately there is a need. Guns will still be made with gauss in mind. That means even tho you'd fix the alignment issue it won't fix guns that float quite a bit off the person's back.

All jobs have the floating off your back problem with certain weapons and also shields are a big culprit. So that isn't necessarily a gauss barrel problem nor is it limited to MCH weapons.

Yes but it looks worse with MCH. Look at the eso weapon. See how at the corner it's close but then there's a big gap along the barrel? That's because of gauss.

Huh. I never realized it, but MCH weapons do indeed float a noticeable distance further from the backthan weapons for the other jobs do. That's going to bug me forever now. Thanks. x.x

They could just holster MCH's gun at the hip to fix the back floating. >w>

But I agree, they need to do something about Gauss's visual.
I'm level 51 on my MCH and what I dread most is how oogly Gauss Barrel is going to look.

I like it on the weapons for which you can dye it, actually. I know it doesn't line up right on every weapon but I think the design of the attachment itself is neat.

Yeah I know some people who do, I don't know why they like it either...I definitely would use the hide option.

Yeah I hate the eso weapon mixed with Gauss barrel...the bloody barrel floats for gods sake...I glamoured the law weapon onto it because that's the only one the gauss barrel actually properly fits onto it.
