    Two stances for Bard?

    Harp Stance - Support Stance, stationary, boosts all songs and support skills, harp in hand, harp only animations, songs and party buff skills only.

    Bow Stance - DPS Stance, mobile, boosts attack skills, bow in hand (as is the default now), bow only animations, attacks and self buffs only.

    All that would be fun.

    (Crafting is a damn time sink for me, don't make it more useful, please. Not everyone can be playing 6h daily for the crafting business. In 2.0 this was something cool and refreshing, nowadays it's just an endless grind with a lot of chores. Especially gathering you feel like if you'd have a job with schedules. )

    Minutes can be turned off ya, but it has a cooldown which makes it a dumb thing to turn off as you have to wait even longer to have access to both Empyreal Arrow and Iron Jaws, the two most useful skills in the class. The class needs a rework plain and simple, we don't do the damage of a Black Mage or Summoner, there was no reason to even turn the class into a caster in the first place.

    This game needs an overhaul of its gear progression system, period - for reasons you illustrate. Across 10+ years and too many MMOs to list, I've never - personally - played one that obsolesces its gear as rapidly as FFXIV. "Just finally finished up your current gear set after weeks of grinding on the same content? Well, don't get too attached to it, because a new set is being introduced in the next update. So, you'll get to do it all over again".

    Frankly, this game needs a huge injection of creativity and new ideas. The retreading of 2+ year old ideas and systems, with little to no variation, except for what the new tomestone will be called, is really ridiculous at this point.

    So, what would I like to see in 3.2 and forward? More imagination and new ideas coming from Yoshi-P and his team, with better thought-out implementations (aka, not another Diadem or LoV scenario).

    I'd said it in another thread, but looking at FFXI as an example, with 1 expansion (Aht Urghan) that game got 5 completely new and completely unique, and very fleshed-out systems, with their own rules, settings, rewards, etc. They didn't keep retreading the same systems they'd been using from previous expansion(s). They designed and implemented new ideas and content, giving players more variety and more options. In a MMORPG, more variety and options = A Good Thing.

    With the variety and depth of content SE was able to implement in XI, under *far* greater restrictions ("PS2 Limitations" anyone?), I can not believe what we're getting from them in FFXIV is the best they can deliver. No way.


    Even just some announcements of new ideas coming from them in future updates would be nice to start with.

    Fun, enjoyment, a proper sense of reward and accomplishment.

    That's what I want for 3.2 and so forth.

    Also...
    - Get rid of weekly limits and lockouts !!!
    - Stop wanting to control how we should play the game
    - Give us more freedom and some horizontal progression
    (3 things I know won't happen)

    All of the above is what is making me not enjoy the game anymore.
    I've always been the type who like to play the game at my pace. I'm somewhat between hardcore and casual. In the sense where I like to take small break whenever I want. Only to catch up by playing hardcore for a while.

    But all the limits are making me feel like I need to play enough to get most of the weekly limits. While missing them are making me feel like I'm suddenly left behind with a gap that I can't close until the next set of armors are released. Making the previous set worthless.

    It is wishful think but I would love a revamp to Machinist into it becoming closer to what was originally promised being a class that get little special bonuses to the attacks with Ammo used rather than just simple boost chance for 123 combo.

    Example:
    Split shot - ammo effect: Shattered Armor (debuff) - increase damage taken by 5% for 30 seconds (stacks over Valnurability).

    Slug Shot - ammo effect: Wounded Arm (debuff) - decrease enemy's damage by 5% for 10 seconds.

    Clean Shot - Ammo effect: Double damage

    Lead Shot - Ammo effect: add 50% chance for condition damage effect to hit a 2nd time each condition click.

    Hot Shot - Ammo Effect: Burning Wound (condition) - damage over time: 50 potency Duration: 30 seconds

    I am hoping for content that does not require doing fates or delivering stuff because NPC at Point A is too lazy to bring it to NPC at Point B, lol
    But in all honesty would just like something fresh that gives new life to the game.

    The major thing that I want in 3.2, is for them to ensure that with the addition of the new materia system, that it is easy for all the materia to be obtained, only because I dont want it to be another restriction that people will use, that each person must have their gear melded with this many of X,Y,Z materia and this gear needs A,D and B materia...

    I'd like to see many skills and abilities actually start to serve a real purpose and impact content.

    I can count on one hand the number of occasions I've actually "needed" blunt arrow to silence something instead of just spamming it as a dps increase
    I can count on one hand the number of occasions I've actually "needed" to Stun something instead of just spam it as a dps increase
    I can count on one hand the number of occasions I've actually "needed" to pacify something instead of spam it as a dps increase.

    I can probably also count on one hand the number of times I've "needed" to use sentinel, bulwark, rampart or any other cool downs in order to survive a particular mechanic...

    I can't even remember the last time something needed to be slept, bound or heavied and kited, crowd control doesn't exist.

    everything is just a dps check, kinda boring....
