Oh..... I thought you were going to come in and judge me after describing myself as once being an "end-game crafter", hahaha. I think most of that money came from leveling my many, many alts through Heavensward and clearing all of the subquests on more than a couple of them too, however. Though I agree, I would perceive it as a lot in the personal sense ^^ But if I am still trying to get a house then it's still quite farm from what I will neeeeeed!
Over 100 mil is a lot now.
Everytime I dip under 5 mil I feel so broke.
Under 5 mil, and your basically a peasant on this game.
Prices are so high.
12 million and I don't spend unless I really have to or if I really want something. I don't even craft.
I'm just under 200m. I consider wealth in this game to be the luxury of buying things that would otherwise take hours of grinding/gathering/etc. when I could do that for myself with ooids and churn out i170 items with minimal time investment, I was in a good place. When I could do it for my FC without thinking twice, I felt rich.
I am seriously having trouble making gil on Bryhildr.(sitting at 2.5 mil atm and most of that was made from selling old materia I had stored up.) I main BLM and only recently started a miner class. I prefer not to get into crafting if at all possible. With my IRL job, I don't have enough time to raid and also craft unfortunately. Anyone have some tips for making a consistent 5-10 mil or so with out crafting?
Honestly I really want to grab me a ZU mount when it is put up on market, but I know it is gonna sell for around 50 mil. XD
Hey, I'm a main black mage on bryn too! Miner is pretty decent for getting money, but it's not exactly fast. While it may only take a bit under 10 minutes to mine a stack of materials, you really need to sell a lot of the stuff to make a lot of money. You can combine gathering with spiritbonding, but that reduces your stats because you're not going to be spiritbonding endgame gear. The reduced stats usually aren't a problem though, unless you want to hit the lvl 60 1 star nodes or something, which won't happen without endgame/melded gear.I am seriously having trouble making gil on Bryhildr.(sitting at 2.5 mil atm and most of that was made from selling old materia I had stored up.) From your lodestone profile, your miner is lvl 21. That's still pretty low, but that also happens to be at about the level when you can finally mine something that sells for more than a couple gil and isn't shards. If I remember right, the alumen nodes are unlocked at lvl 21 in eastern thanalan, between drybone and highbridge. You could also try silver ore and efferverscent water in south shroud, but that might be at lvl 26, I forget. However, these things are still only like 200ish to maybe 500ish gil normally I think, although silver ore is usually the highest of the 3 I think. The really big money for gathering is in the endgame unspoiled nodes. The first unspoiled nodes are accessible you get the truth of mountains/forests skill on miner and/or botanist, which is a couple levels before lvl 50 if I remember right. You've got a long way to go to get to the just released endgame nodes though, since you need like 720 gathering to have any chance at all to get it, if I remember right.

Actually, depending on flows in the market, simple lower level stuff like electrum ore, silver ore, mythril sand, etc can sell for many times more than even some stuff from unspoiled or folklore nodes. Unless you can reliably HQ those nodes, your profit can be shockingly low. On Famfrit the going rate for blue quartz can be 75 gil for NQ and 90,000 for HQ. The ores and sands will almost always get you a couple hundred gil each in any quantity. They're just rock-solid reliable (punny, I know)
One of the Omni crafters in my fc is approaching 1 billion gil. Its kind of a thing in my FC too poke at him about having too much gil and not knowing what to do with it; which is kind of true since he makes it faster then he spends it.
