I use extended bars, which everyone should use. Cycling via R1 is slow and clunky comparatively. I've done both, and extended is way more intuitive and efficient. I use my R1 cycling to go between 1 and 2, with 2 being designated as my AoE hotbar on DRK/DRG, and it having all my rarely-used skills for other jobs (like Protect, Stoneskin II, summons, Dissipation, etc). Everything I use most often is squeezed onto 1 and 4, with 4 being my extended bars. You'll notice I also have Heavy Thrust and Leg Sweep doubled up. I've had it too long; when I tried to change that in HW, I ended up hitting L2>R2>▲ for HT when I only had it on R2>L2>▲ @__@
