I'll share mine, it's the same except for that I erased the pethotbar so I use hotbars 1 and 2

    Crosshotbar 1
    ~L2/Left Trigger:
    O-Heavy Thrust
    ▲-Ring of Thorns
    ◘-Full Thrust
    X-Phlebotomize

    →-Impulse Drive
    ↑-Disembowel
    ←-Chaos Thrust
    ↓-LB

    ~R2/Right Trigger:
    O-True Thrust
    ▲-Vorpal Thrust
    ◘-Leg Sweep
    X-Feint

    →-Blood for Blood
    ↑-Invigorate
    ←-Life Surge
    ↓-Keen Flurry

    Crosshotbar 2
    ~L2/Left Trigger:
    O-Doom Spike
    ▲-Dragonfire Dive
    ◘-Geirskogul
    X-Wheeling Thrust

→↑←↓ Useless shite (chocobo summoning and withdraw, sprint and mount)

    ~R2/Right Trigger:
    O-Jump
    ▲-Piercing Talon
    ◘-Spineshatter Dive
    X-Elusive Jump

    →-Blood of the Dragon
    ↑-Battle Litany
    ←-Power Surge
    ↓-Fang and Claw

    Expanded Hotbar (R2+L2):
    O-Mercy Stroke
    ▲-Empty
    ◘-Empty
    X-Empty

    →-Second Wind
    ↑-Internal Release
    ←-Bloodbath
    ↓-Foresight

As you can see the two main combos go in a counterclock circular motion, which makes it easier to get it ingrained in your brainz XD

    →-Internal Release

    Crosshotbar 4

    ▲-Piercing Talon
    ◘-Feint
    X-[Escape]

    ↑-Invigorate
    ←-Blood for Blood
    ↓-Battle Litany

I use extended bars, which everyone should use. Cycling via R1 is slow and clunky comparatively. I've done both, and extended is way more intuitive and efficient. I use my R1 cycling to go between 1 and 2, with 2 being designated as my AoE hotbar on DRK/DRG, and it having all my rarely-used skills for other jobs (like Protect, Stoneskin II, summons, Dissipation, etc). Everything I use most often is squeezed onto 1 and 4, with 4 being my extended bars. You'll notice I also have Heavy Thrust and Leg Sweep doubled up. I've had it too long; when I tried to change that in HW, I ended up hitting L2>R2>▲ for HT when I only had it on R2>L2>▲ @__@

I use 2 cross hotbars, using R1 to cycle between them. I also use expanded hotbar, but I only use 1 side of it, and I use it across all jobs, with mounts, LB, macros, and other such things. I also use a horizontal hotbar as a timer bar, so I can see things, that may not be readily available.

I don't like your hotbars. You have heavy thrust, chaos thrust, and jumps on the directional buttons. This is bad. Think about when/how you use these moves. You are almost always moving when you're doing them, whether it's to get the positional or getting in range. Moving them to face buttons frees up your left thumb to remain on the stick.

I do what I do, and you do what you do. I ackowldege people will want to change their buttons accordingly, but I have no problem with the way I have my stuff set-up. If you think ahead and predict movements better, you can put buttons anywhere you want.

I was actually gonna put that in my comment!! Funny enough, I do actually reach across with my right hand from time to time to hit the D-pad. Years of playing pop-n-music and other rythme games have made me adapt lol.
