Introduction
I am wondering what is possible for the developers to do, to increase our enjoyment of this game. or is this game meant for only new players? maybe XI has a small loyal group of players that stuck with it for many years but others games such as WOW had a bigger fan base so this game borrowed a lot of WOW-style ideas like instance focused content.
This game's biggest issue for me is those empty zones. when i first started playing the game, it was crazy so many people and for the next few months also zones and towns were filled with people and everyone doing fates. the activity in the zones gradualy went down, but had a few short lived resurgance with relic atma fate grinds. . some zones remained a little more popular like coretheas etc for fates. but the rest kind of died out. the atma quest made a resurgance again for fates but again after the initial few mohths they died out again.
Right now i see these old dead zones i wonder, all this investment in making these nice zones but they are not inhabited by anyone. except for maybe a few new players who might run thru for their story . these zones feel like ghost towns, it makes me sad to just see them like that.
When i entered stonevigil the first time, i was amazed at the dungen design of it, and how u can see the view from top of the tower, it gave me a few ideas of the possibilites of what the devlopers can do, sadly it's just an instance but the imagination can go wild with all the possibilities.
my idea
now this is my idea I think it would be nice if, there would be some kind of tower we can enter maybe in some of the zones, and u have to fight through trash mobs, possibly a boss at the end of each floor, an S rank who blocks that floor and can only be defeated by party of let's say 20 or more. if the s rank dies a door will open for 1m then it closes again to next floor. the trash has to be hard and not safe to move around, without proper healers, tanks and teamwork. if u reach the last floor there is a really super boss , like with the strength of odin lvl 60 that can only go down with a few alliances let say 60 people minimum. the boss has no drops but gives u a lotery ticket and a token. lotery tocket has a rare chance to give u a very rare item. ur token is a weekly token and if u get enuf u may purchase some rewards. i think initially that boss shud be so hard , that it may not even go down every week, without proper groups and enough people comitting to do this. fails = gives pepople a reason to go back again and try to climbe up and try this boss again with bigger numbers and better preparation.
Now the above is just an idea and its kind of in the open world but at the same time its locked to those who can defeat the s ranks and progress thru those tough mobs. i beleave this game needs some open world content because we got nothing atm. if u like that idea or if u got different idea that is better u can reply here. maybe those s ranks can also net us some sort of mini reward etc. when the s ranks die, they respawn in 15m or so. maybe a total number of floors would be 7 so, getting the whole way up would take 2 hours max? if the group is strong.
offcourse u may think what is the point of this if we just gona do it once, well if it drops a 100% weekly token then people shud come back every week to collect it. and i guess some might get some super rare items if they are lucky. or even extremely rare items. also helping others might give u another chance for the rare stuff , even if u got ur weekly token.
i think that tower will give us something cool todo, rather than our weekly 24 man dungen ( i dont call it a raid sorry ), or our usuall raid schedual. it gives an FC or a few FCs that wana work toghether somethign to do as well.
