You don't have to have a disciple of war/magic class at 50 before you get the exp bonus. As long the class you're leveling isn't your highest level (combat) class, it will gain bonus exp.
For cross-class skills on Scholar, I pick Cleric Stance, Protect, Swiftcast, Aero, and Blizzard II. Stoneskin is nice to pick up and use instead of Blizzard II if you want to play more defensive. Blizzard II is nice offensive filler spell to have against 4 or more mobs after you already Bane your dots and put down a Shadowflare. At Lv.60, I think Scholars are asked to be more offensive-minded so you probably will not get many GCDs to use Stoneskin considering Adlo + Deployment tactics + Sacred Soil. Although, then again you will likely use Broil a lot more often than Blizzard II in most situations. Hmmm...basically Stoneskin or Blizzard II is up to you lol.
Fried popoto enthusiast.
If you didn't have to sit in the middle of all the mobs, blizzard II would be so much more viable. :C (omg... that's what I want in scholar 3.0 a real spammable aoe like gravity that's target based with like 80 potency. Ermergherdddd. So 3 or more targets make it worth it.For cross-class skills on Scholar, I pick Cleric Stance, Protect, Swiftcast, Aero, and Blizzard II. Generally speaking the "nessicary" Cross Class skills for SCH are Cleric Stance, Protect (which you get automatically since you need to get CNJ to 15) and Swiftcast but that's only if you reaching endgame.
If you want to halt the story progress to get the cross-class skils, you may do so however you can also wait until you reach 50 and do so. There is nothing in Dungeons that needs a swiftraise so long as the Tank can distract the boss long enough for the cast to go off (especially since your faerie can handle the healing in the meantime). So I say its up to you.
Aero is pretty Damn important dps wise, especially before level 54, but it's super low level too.. +200 Dps potency vs 80 from ruin. Typically on pulls for 4 or more after the tank is buffed with adlo/stoneskin I'll BioII/Miasma/bio>swiftcast>Bane> Shadowflare then aero all targets that I assume will outlive its duration, if not broil. Repeat as desired as long as the targets will outlive the dot. Bane-ing low hp mobs is okay, but don't aero spam/shadowflare because they probably won't net a decent enough potency to overcome broiling.
