Allow Dyeing of Baron Helm/Circlet/Dye Preview Issue

So, nothing matches these items. The Baron Helm is like a like a grayish Currant Purple while the Circlet is a Lighter version of Royal Blue maybe?

Also if you zoom into a certain spot using the Dye Preview, you can no longer change to other types of dye. For example, if it was on Red Dyes... I can't switch to Blue Dyes after I zoomed in. Maybe this is a Playstation issue only?

That happens because you are still in 'zoom' mode. Hit circle to back out and you can alter the dye again. It's not ideal, but IIRC the zoom function uses some of the buttons you would use to select dye, so it is in effect a separate mode, and you simply back out of zoom to change the dye.

Should post the second part of your post in the bug report forum. Assuming it's a bug and not something simply overlooked lol.

As for the coloring though, some items are just like that. The 1.0 CE Onion Knight helm, for example, is a slightly different shade of blue than what is available from dyes.

IDK, I have that Onion Helm, I don't recall it not matching outfits when I've done them. I think the difference is that some are dyes look glossy on different surfaces and the Onion Helm is glossy, so has to be matched with that sorta armor.

That's what I thought too, until I tried to dye some of the shinier armors to match it. I forget which blue it was, but it was VERY close yet it was still slightly off. Then again, the Onion helm could just be an exception, since it has a unique reflection to the gloss, I think. I haven't played a heavy armor job in a long time, so I don't recall if reflections on all armors do the same thing. At any rate, the special items might just be unique like that, where if it's not the color itself then the additional details might cause it to project color differently.

This is true, on PS3/4 if you are in the mode that lets you rotate or zoom in on your character, it won't let you select different dye color categories. Just de-select the "view character" mode and it will go right back to normal. Kind of a pain, but eh, little thing. :P

I dunno, I find that Baron Circlet matches nicely with Midnight Blue dyed items.
