New FF14 Player- Is my logic wrong?

So, I started FF14 a month ago. My only interest was to play as WHM. Subsequently I reached lvl 60. And I've started to unlock eso/void gear.

So... My question is. I can only receive 1 piece of void-gear per week. And receive 450 eso's per week. So at best... It would take me what, 3 months to have every piece at !200 or above? (about 11+weeks)

Is that normal or am I missing something?

(Like, I feel like I just hit a major progression wall. And that I could probably wait 6months to a year for them to un-cap the current ceiling progression limit).

It's normal. As soon as a new Tomestone is introduced, then the Esoterics limit will be unlocked and the limit will be imposed on the new currency. It's how it has worked since A Realm Reborn launched. SE doesn't want anyone instantly grinding out an entire gearset when it is released.

There are other ways of obtaining i210 gear - through Diadem and Alexander Savage. Diadem takes luck and Alex Savage takes skill and dedication.

Does the ESO Ninja gear make that same annoying "clinking" sound that the AF gear does? Cause the ESO gear is the coolest Ninja gear I've seen yet. Gonna dye mine Cerulium blue when I get the full set.

Yea that's pretty much how it is. 3.2 patch will be soon which will uncap eso, probably unlock the weekly restriction on void ark and Gordias Savage as well. The new tomes will have a weekly limit but you'll be able to get the old 200 eso gear much faster. Will be a new, slow grind for the new gear because they don't want everyone gearing up in 1 day or 1 week, or really even 1 month lol

No, the Eso set is cloth and leather (and quiet). The AF gear has that sort of chain mail aspect to it that makes it noisy.
