How do you tank gritless with it, though? I've been doing it a lot lately since I'm 100% comfortable doing that with either of the other tanks when possible, but as soon as I drop grit I feel like I'm praying for that dark dance parry to proc because I have absolutely no other cooldowns available and I still feel like my HP drops way too fast.

Abyssal Drain gives Enmity, and is a aoe. Dark Passenger, while it does NOT generate enmity, hits enemies on a line, so I use this to my advantage. Dark Arts and the Power Slash combo gives Enmity. I drop Grit for Blood Weapon, but put it back up to heal myself with Souleater, though, though. The initial pull of Unmend > Unleash > Abyssal Drain is usually all I need to be able to drop Grit once those activate.

Another thing I do in dungeons, especially The Vault, where the mobs run at me, is throw Salted Earth early. The enemies running up will focus me even if the healer tagged me with Regen and/or Medica II prior to the pull (as long as I have Grit on BEFORE I used Salted Earth).

But you know me, I don't follow rotations; I prioritize. There were a LOT of times where I never finished a Power Slash combo because I Dark Arts > Abyssal Drain unless it was a single enemy. Blood Price and Dark Arts are my key abilities to hold hate without Grit. I haven't tried it on a Primal yet, though; only in dungeons and Praetorium. Two more levels, and I can try it in Alexander Normal.

Of course I just got Hvergemir yesterday, a major goal in itself, to completed goals are

• Kirin
• Clearing the Coil storyline (though I'm running it again for...reasons)
• Allied Beastmen Quests (Much to the benefit of my Anima grind)

One of my main focus is to farm all Minions and Mounts D:
I'm missing 3 minions; Hunting Hawk, Echidna and Firion.
And I'm missing 3 mounts too; A4 mount (soon!), Parade Chocobo, and Ul'Dah PVP horse (29 wins to go ;_; )

I'm paranoic on quests too and I finish all of them. I still have to finish the Azys Lla ones and then every single quest in ARR and HW will be completed!

Level everything to 60 and gear up to "max" the mastercrafts, the 3 gatherers, a healer, tank and DPS!


And basically, do all the Achievements I can! For the titles, the gear rewards etc...

Hmm goals...

My main focus is always achievement but when HW hit I set myself some goals:
* Get all classes to 60 - Done
* Get Kirin mount - Done
* Finish all coil - Starting on that now that I have finished Kirin
* Keep up with BLM anima weapon - Almost done with the current quest

Since I am almost caught up I have set myself some additional goals once 3.2 hits:
* Get all crafting masterbook 3 - Haven't got any and hoping for a slight nerf in 3.2 so waiting on that for now
* Get all folklore scrolls for gathering - See above
* Get good glamour for all classes
* Decorate my house properly

Honestly though, except catching up on a lot of achievements and doing new phases of the anima BLM weapon I don't really see any interesting goals on the horizon. Obviously keeping all classes at max level is one if they release a new class before 4.0 like they did with NIN.
Long term goal is to get all 13 anima weapons but that will be a slow process and mostly after it gets nerfed.
