    5GP Every 3s Is Kind of Not Okay

    Heya! So... with the GP maximums going higher and higher and higher, having GP regen at 5 every 3 seconds is starting to get more and more unbearable. And Cordials/Hi-Cordials will soon not even be able to restore one's GP to maximum (not to mention they have a 4m cooldown on them).

    My proposal: Change the 5 GP every 3 seconds to 5% of Max GP every 3 seconds. I ask this of you because MP regenerates using a percentile system and it's balanced, so GP should regen the same way.

    I would be happy if there was just a food or potion that would increase gp regen rate.

    I am currently at 662 / 664 GPs without food, aiming for 700.

    I have no problem with nodes 2 hours appart but I do go through quite a few cordials.

    Answer to your problem is easily solved by gil.

    i have 647 GP on my fisher. my biggest problem with that 5GP / sec is that you everytime you switch to your gatherer class you only start with 400 GP. so you have to wait before you even gathered one item...

    and it gets just worse with better gear / buffood...

    I am on the fence with the increase in GP/tick but what I think we should have had was an increase in base GP/CP when Heavensward was released. It could be a trait that activates at level 60 (or 51, depending) which increases your base from 400GP to 500GP. In fact, there should be a 50GP increase at lvl51 & another at lvl60 given how important GP has become with collectables etc.

    It seems strange that as our skill (level) increases our base stats don't for DoL/DoH. If they introduced such traits it would minimise the need for gear inflation. In the future we're going to need rings that provide 100GP just so we can reach the insane collectable level that will occur. 1500 collectability anyone? XD

    Or GC seals (for Cordial) or Blue gatherer scrip (for Hi-Cordials).

    The GP regen limit definitely encourages people to play smart and choose between options. Nothing wrong with that.

    Cordials would be a great way to nip the problem in the bud if they didn't have a 4m wait period between uses. 2m maybe, but 4m is a bit much.

    people are not supposed to spend 600 gp every minute, it would ruin the value of all items, if everyone could gather everything at any time

    its good as it is, you have to gather less for more profit

    That's why a lot of desirable nodes are on timers. I mean, what are you going to do when, in 4.0, the recommended max GP is a crazy number like 3k and it still ticks at 5 GP every 3 seconds? Even with Cordials, that's insane, and for a system that requires you to burn 600+ GP on most nodes for optimum gathering, the least they could do is change regen to a percentile value.

    I mean, Crafting classes get it easy. Craft something, burn all your CP, and when you finish crafting, you get all of your CP back instantly. And then MP for combat classes regenerates on a percentile system, which makes Piety suck a lot less than it would if MP regenerated at a flat rate.

    I mean, when I gather, I want to gather. I don't want to wait five minutes in between ephemerals because of my garbage GP regen rate.
