Twas a troll, but a lot of truth is said in jest. I don't really see how it'd be ignorance. If people can rank up solely in PvP then they will. Which is why I referenced Modern Warfare, a game where people will read what the best weapon loadout it and then boost (read: powerlevel) their way to have that specific configuration.
Just pointing out that those against power leveling also should be against this, as someone who goes from the minimum level of participation to cap in PvP will be worthless -- in their definition -- in PvE.
This is most people's experience with RPG PvP. Only time I've ever encountered it myself was in Diablo and it made me loathe PvP in RPGs -- mostly because it consists of some over-powered low life berating you and your brand new character into a duel, killing you in one hit, then acting like they won some hard-fought battle.Player X requests a duel.
