    ok, so I want to play DRK as a DPS in a raid, what skills do I have that benefit me as a dedicated DPS without new or modified skills being implemented? The best case scenario of this kind of system is already in the game in the form of SMN/SCH, and even then it is kinda clunky and has its problems with bonus stats, and the fact that adding a new class would actually probably take slightly less work as it would be easier to implement (on top of being entirely more interesting). Either way, the devs have made it very clear that they are moving away from this kind of system, and it only exists because 1.0.

    To counter your idea, I don't have a problem with diverse weapon types within the constraints of the job, and I think that would be great for glamour, for example, PLD has kite and square shields, and I would love to see more types of shield, BRD has shortbows and longbows and could see more diversity (crossbow is a large stretch due to animations, but it supports the idea), MNKs could have gloves as well as knuckledusters, and maybe more varied models for starglobes.
