    Idea about golden saucer points and old dungeons.

    My idea is simply to keep old dungeons going and buy gaining something out of it.

    For example it would be something like this.
    Daily - weekly whatever you want this to be setup like.

    You do 3-4 dungeons to complete the task and you get some MGP.
    Sastasha > The Tam-Tara Deepcroft > Copperbell Mines > Halatali

    Once all done you get like 500-1000 MGP
    Each day or week whatever you choose is different, it doesn't need to be in order.
    Dungeons could be random orders and not just those dungeons I named.

    Put new stuff in Golden Saucer that will be a lot of points to get but if people want them they will have to do these dungeons.
    If not then it will take a bit longer the normal way.

    Though could help a lot with dungeons being done without wait times.

    I think we need customized rewards for older content to give incentive, going on your idea say choosing from a tome type, mgp, or even more exp or bonus gil but limit it to once a day or week

    I am just tossing out this idea, its a good one been on my mind for a while, at least it gives people something to do and its by choice.

    Do or Don't type thing but for the people who do it they gain points towards getting stuff from saucer.

    I wouldn't mind something like old dungeon chest sometimes holding mgp, or gold saucer quests like find the missing cactuar in the old dungeons or something. That'd be pretty sweet. I would't want them limited to a day or a week though. It'd be alot of fun to go on a search and retrieve mission in the old dungeons. Haukke Manor would be a blast. X)

    What does running dungeons have to do with MGP? MGP is a casino, you earn MGP by playing and winning the casino games/events. Earning MGP through dungeon runs makes no sense at all.

    Maybe make Gold Saucer versions of the dungeons, and turning the boss fights into mini games (as an example killing the boss and the adds with minions like in Lord of Verminion). Win a game against a boss and win GCP. Lose the game and the party die.

    Casinos have to do with gambling, ffxiv doesn't have any of that, and as if racing and training chocobos, racing to the top of mountains and statues, playing red light green light with a monster have to do with casinos. You wait and pay mgp to play a game, basically the Gold Saucer is a shiny amusement park. Why not have dungeons play a fun roll in earning mgp? Honestly I don't see a reason why not. :/

    Problem being that it would have to be substantial to be worth it.

    Running those older dungeons takes 15-30 minutes synced.

    You could easily get 10k-20k in the same amount of time just by doing the Botany mini game or mining mini game

    I dont understand either how you could explain (lorewise) why the "normal" dungeon runs would give you any MGP...

    It should be tied up to the GS in some way in the end... I could imagine something like this:
    Where is Senor Cactor?!
    3 dungeons are randomly picked, Senor Cactor is hidding in one of them - you bet MGP (min 1, max 500) to enter a dungeon via df, run goes all normal - after the last boss is dead Senor Cactor will appear anywhere in the dungeon (if you picked the right one!) - you've got time until the timer runs out to find him - if you succed you'll get your reward back x100 (so max. 50.000), if not you'll get nothing (except for the exp and the loot you've got from the dungeon anyways...). There could also be like a "second prize" where it isnt Senor Cactor but maybe his wife or a normal cactor hiding. After you completed the last boss fight you'll get a message if anyone is hiding in the dungeon - you can pay more MGP for hints, where the cactor actually is hiding (going from 100, 1000, 10.000 MGP).

    (and yeah, I kinda borowed the idea a little bit from Kurogaea - hope you'll forgive me^^')


    ...but on the other hand I kinda agree: Dungeons have nothing to do with the GS - there are reason why we're visiting each dungeon and non of them are really nice... the GS is supposed to be a fun place to forget about that stuff - and there are a lot of ways to earn MGP already...

    You could simply make triple triad cards worth more than 10 MGP a piece, and have them drop from not only dungeon final bosses, but also from mid-bosses and common mobs. I'd rather have junk items worth mgp cluttering my inventory than the 5 different grades of glamour prisms that are showered on us in the current dungeons.
