Can we expect a new Main Hand relic?

Lucious tools has never been a relic

It's an upgradable mainhand item rewarded from a quest that fits into the armoire in its base form. People refer to it as a relic because what else do you call it?

Too early to see new crafting gear / main hands

I wouldn't be too surprised if they introduced a new main hand tool as Artisan's main hand tools were introduced in patch 2.2 to coincide with the release of level 50 3* crafts.

I'd imagine that if they add level 60 3* crafts in 3.2, they'd likely introduce a new tool and/or a new master recipe book.

I'd be surprised if they released a new main hand tool period for quite awhile, the current 170/180 tools are already overkill for everything craftable in the game, an addition to lucis seems unlikely to me.

imagine if the Luminary tools finally had a use and an upgrade, besides having to get the item in the first place, you have specific hard HQ recipes for each one to complete and upgrade?? They just take up room in inventory...

i'd like to know if i should be throwing away all my lucis at this point. i need the retainer space but its one of those things where i fear the moment i do toss em, i find out i should have kept them

Given how easy it is to get them now, it would be very unlikely that if you have them you skip some step in the next, like they just did for battle classes.

i'd hope so yes, the stat gain from the i150 to i170 mainhand is not so good considering the materials required, when compared with the offhand's higher gain (i140-i170) for fewer materials.

It would make sense as a way to provide the push into 3-star alongside the current i170 gear we have available now. Replacing class specific equipment shouldn't happen for a while, surely...But SE seeing it that way is another matter.

I kept mines too in case of....but i hope just not, we spent so much time and ressources for having our Lucis and once the next patch was up all thoses tools were just outdated so fast and by some "white" HQ tools...

It's not motivating but more frustrating.

Lucis were best MH still until 60.

Lucious tools has never been a relic, it was merely a BiS tool that took more effort to obtain similar to the i170 one we can craft now.

Not to mention the lucious became obsolete long time ago and it would be foolish of SE to assume people saved them when there has been no apparent reason at all that they would play any kind of role in the future.

They didn't play a roll in the past either. They were never required for anything. They literally went from 4 star to 4 star with Lucious... I'm woefully sorry I ground out all 8 of them after seeing SE just stopped there.
