Hamlet Defense?

I was just wondering if this system is still on plan for introduction? I have not seen anything written about it in a while?

maybe it will be connected with companies, hopefully one of the community reps can look into this for us?

I was always intrigued as to what that will be like, and if its still coming into the game.

I still think it is, just probably still a ways off. Companies kind of went MIA for a long while and now we're not too far off from them at least getting started. I'm guessing hamlets will tie in with companies quite a bit. Btw Figaro ftw! ^^

Hopefully it will be set up like behest with a limit on participants. Would be great to see waves of enemies coming at you.

That's my thinking also. Would be cool to tie those two systems since its easy to make them go hand in hand if it is battle and storyline oriented and the lore has room to make it work.

But we need to have some consequences for losing the battles. In Besieged, the monsters would come in, whip us, then leave the town the way they found it. Sure they'd capture NPCs, and take the thing that gave us an exp bonus, but there was no...damage, y'know?

Let's make it so when the monsters win, the town is in shambles, and make it up to us to protect the town til it can be rebuilt.

Or something like that.

It was something I was really excited about when they announced it back then, and still am!!

I want this to be dynamic also but I don't know how it will be managed from a systems side of things.
But its a great idea that's for sure. we can send in the cavalry to save the hamlet while riding in on our horsebirds :P

The added content is where SE has a chance to create things no other MMO has done, but only after the foundation is solid! I do hope some of these goodies come sooner than later.

Hamlet Defense would be very welcome content.

The local beastman tribe would be the guys doing the attacking most of the time. But sometimes ... the attack would be an Imperial Raid by the Garleans. In which case the defenders better bring their A-Game.

I wonder what we do about the civilians, though. Should we evacuate them? If so, then how? Some kid and his mom from a hamlet have probably never seen an Aetheryte. I don't think they would be able to teleport themselves.
