Love the music to final fantasy series, can we put in custom ff music track selection for certain areas or dungeons to choose from, wether classic ff game music to lightning returns.

That would be a dream come true, unfortunatly.......
I don't see it happening... I remember reading a question about being able to change the battle music into the map background music...
They answered they want to keep that Feeling of Final Fantasy game in the letter.
The FF feeling is that whenever you engage an enemy a battle theme starts playing, otherwise its a great suggestion, also being able to add music of our own and play it in the game, I remember Dead or Alive the beach game had a feature like that, you upload the song on your system and you play the track in the game.
How about the option to play your own music instead.
That's just not possible, given how music is actually implemented in the game (particularly in ARR areas) - you have tracks that are flagged to begin playing at certain points in a zone or at certain times of day, you have battle themes that occur under certain FATEs or events, even dungeons have different themes playing - some just have a theme play at the very beginning before fading into silence and then just have battle themes play, others have a FFXIII-2 style 'aggressive mix' play (Dark's Kiss and Dark's Embrace both playing simultaneously, muting one or the other depending on whether the player is in battle or not). All this just would be far too complex to allow players to change the BGM for the entire game.
Having said that, the Orchestrion furnishing is coming for housing/the inn which will allow you to change the BGM when in a house or the Inn, so that's something at least.
If I could I'd switch out the XIV Fanfare music for Final Fantasy VII's
I think that game had the best fanfare track.
