From the south of The Nidifice we can see a floating Island out of Sea of Clouds' map border. What is that?

A while back there was a thread about possibly continuing the Class storylines in another form, and we even got a response from Grekumah that something might be in the works, but it's now been over a year without any word on it. Is this still something being considered or worked on?

I'm sure many people will agree with me when I say I'd love to see what The Holyfist is getting up to these days! And maybe it was just me, but I felt like the Lancer story ended on a real cliffhanger; it left so much up in the air, and something really ought to be done with all those dangling plot threads.

I would like to see us the players be able to achieve higher ranks in the grand companies I mean after all the players do for the grand companies and to save the city states I think they are due for a rank increase why can't they be come up in the ranks like captains and so forth and so on because in the grand company ranking system that goes all the way up to Grand Champion why can not the players work to increase their ranks and with the higher ranks give new perks new gear so forth and so on I I for one think that they should at least be bumped up to Marshall because they did save the general restore the Sultana and constantly saving them from Primals and that's all they get is a lousy rank of second lieutenant I think the general and the leaders of the other grand company should be more appreciative and give them a little higher ranks in the grand company

Is Regula Van Hydrus female? Because based both on Latin naming conventions and the few Garlean names we have, Regula should be a feminine name. I don't really have any other evidence besides a gut feeling about the shape of their armor and that their voice sounds 'off' to my ear in a way that other helmeted Garleans haven't, but I really suspect that he's a she!

You probably can't confirm OR deny my suspicions because of spoilers, but it would be awesome to hear a bit about gender roles in Garlemald, and how women in the military are viewed!

Aside gameplay reasons why can't a conjurer and white mage commune with fire, ice and thunder?

What's Nero up to these days? I was half expecting him to be involved in the Void Ark side story, but since that wasn't the case, can we expect to see him back in the main scenario someday? He's one of my favorite NPCs, and one of the few who could realistically come back, so I really hope so!

Are we gonna get more GC ranking promotions? It's been awhile since we have done something like that.

Will we ever hear more on the exact reasons people have forgotten the (identities of the) Warriors of Light (and seemingly the Warriors of Light of their own part in and prior to Cardenau)? Will Echo ever give us further glimpses of the distant past? Will Echo itself ever be further explained?

How far does the English translation vary from the Japanese generally? Stuff like Fate names seems to obviously be referencing English puns and whatnot, but how about main scenario quest titles and NPC names?

How do the surnames work with elezens, exactly? In Ishgard the nobles are [forename] de [House name], but what about the poor and middle-class? Are they surnameless or are they like the player character just [forename] [surname]?
