You know the one I'm talking about.
Pre-charge all your cooldowns before the pull and start casting your biggest AoE right as the tank starts running toward the group.

I (as PLD) usually get a shield lob off and, before one GCD has cycled, every mob I didn't touch is now making a bee line for the DPS. Then I get to hear all the complaining about me not holding hate.

This isn't a progression raid, it's DF.

Give it 3 seconds before you go ape sh*t on everything.

I can feel the urge to do this on a Summoner if the tank is going too slow in between pulls since my stacks wear off in 30 seconds. Deathflare is extremely fun to use.

I feel bad when I do it, and I know as a main tank that it an be annoying

Not fun if you die a lot because of Deathflare. Some tanks couldnt hold the threat I made because they love to switch to dps stance in the middle of tanking trashes. And when I use my Deathflare, bam, all trashes go to me and I always ended up dead. I'm so tired of it sometimes I wait about 10 - 15 seconds before I start using Bane and Painflare, especially Deathflare.

Haha, I intentionally open with Bio II, Miasma, Bio hard casts just so the tank can keep up. Then the race for hate begins!

I can vouch for this.
I love pulling hate off tanks as BRD...which is why I don't feel too bad when it happens when I'm tanking. I usually get the hate right back. Also, I mean, the boss will hit them right in the face so... win/win.
