Did it ever occur that Ifrit might not be weak to Wind?
I mean look at bombs, they are fire but weak against fire. If you catch my drift, try other spells?

Bombs are an unusual case, and in almost every final fantasy they are weak to their own element. This makes sense, as they are bombs, they're kinda packed with explosives, and explosives and fire mix a little too well. As for why snolls and djinns are weak to ice and dark in final fantasy 11, I'm not sure, other than maybe they're getting too much of their own element and becoming unstable from the excess energy, which causes massive internal damage. Or something.
Bombs are just defective monsters, ok? leave them alone ( ;; )
